#mtb-generated:<namespace>/<multiblock_id>/blueprint/show

This function is used to show the blueprint block displays. It renders a fully visual guide on how to build the multiblock which we refer to as the "blueprint". Running this function will also enable checking for multiblock completion and correct block placement.

Context:

This function needs to run as the root of the multiblock instance that you want to edit.

Note

You can use the selector @e[type=minecraft:block_display,tag=<namespace>-<multiblock_id>,tag=mtb.root] to find the root

Example:

# Show the multiblock blueprint when the player puts on their engineering goggles (a custom equippable item)

# The implementing datapack uses a custom player ID system to link the multiblock with the player
scoreboard players operation #search tbs.ID = @s tbs.ID

execute if items entity @s armor.head *[minecraft:custom_data~{"goggles":true}] as @e[type=minecraft:block_display,tag=tech_datapack-industrial_furnace,tag=mtb.root,predicate=tech_datapack:match_player_id] run function #mtb-generated:tech_datapack/industrial_furnace/blueprint/show
