Release list
v0.1.46
git pull, then npm ci and npm run dev in src/.
The .appx is signed with ACE's self-signed test certificate (ace-test-cert.cer). To sideload it, trust the certificate once in an elevated PowerShell, then install:
Import-Certificate -FilePath .\ace-test-cert.cer -CertStoreLocation Cert:\LocalMachine\TrustedPeople
Import-Certificate -FilePath .\ace-test-cert.cer -CertStoreLocation Cert:\LocalMachine\Root
Add-AppxPackage -Path ".\Agent.Command.Engine.0.1.46.appx"Fixed
- Models button now lists exactly what Claude Code's own
/modelmenu shows, whatever the login, so every model an enterprise gateway exposes appears (including[1m]long-context variants). ACE asks the Claude CLI for the list without starting a conversation, and falls back to the previous cache and pinned-variable sources when the CLI can't answer (TICKET-0170). - Launching an agent on a model id with
@dateor a[1m]suffix (claude-haiku-4-5@20251001,claude-opus-5-5[1m]) no longer fails with "Invalid model ID" (TICKET-0170).
v0.1.45
git pull, then npm ci and npm run dev in src/.
This release also covers 0.1.41 to 0.1.44, which were tagged but not published here.
The .appx is signed with ACE's self-signed test certificate (ace-test-cert.cer). To sideload it, trust the certificate once in an elevated PowerShell, then install:
Import-Certificate -FilePath .\ace-test-cert.cer -CertStoreLocation Cert:\LocalMachine\TrustedPeople
Import-Certificate -FilePath .\ace-test-cert.cer -CertStoreLocation Cert:\LocalMachine\Root
Add-AppxPackage -Path ".\Agent.Command.Engine.0.1.45.appx"Added
- Skills / Plugins / MCP panel (replaces Project Skills): switch each project skill,
.mcp.jsonserver and registered plugin on or off for yourself. ACE writes.claude/settings.local.json, never the shared settings file. Claude only (TICKET-0169). - Memories panel: list and edit the project's
.claude/memory/*.mdfiles (TICKET-0169). - New-project wizard: "✨ New" opens a dialog with a "Choose project location" button, a folder name and a required description, and shows the full destination before Create. Errors appear in the dialog and keep what you typed, and a name collision can be retried without picking the folder again (TICKET-0164).
Changed
- Sidebar: adds Memories, "Usage (whole machine)" is now "Usage", "Files / Editor" is gone (clicking a file in the tree still opens the editor), and Settings moved to the application menu only (Ctrl/Cmd+,) (TICKET-0169).
- New projects start clean: version 0.1.0, no inherited tickets, ticket history or someone else's preferences. The name and description from the wizard are written into the README, AGENTS.md, changelog and project memory, and
/project-setupconfirms them instead of asking again (TICKET-0165).
Fixed
- Models button finds Claude models on enterprise-gateway (SSO) logins, which never write the model-catalog cache. It now also reads the models pinned with
ANTHROPIC_MODELandANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_{OPUS,SONNET,HAIKU}_MODEL, from the environment or~/.claude/settings.json(TICKET-0170). - Prompt Score: the Models Used cost tiers follow list price, priced on a 100k-in / 700-out job; the cheapest 20% are Lower-cost, the priciest 30% Higher-cost, the rest Balanced. Before, caching skewed the tiers so every model could show as Lower-cost (TICKET-0162).
- Toggling a skill, plugin or MCP server no longer wipes the rest of
.claude/settings.local.jsonwhen that file is malformed or unreadable, and no longer overwrites a settings file another tool created meanwhile (TICKET-0166). - Memories: clicking two files quickly can no longer show the first file's text under the second file's name, and switching views from the menu asks before discarding unsaved memory edits (TICKET-0167).
- New projects created on Windows no longer mix line endings in the seeded README and project memory (TICKET-0165).
v0.1.40
This release also covers v0.1.39, which was tagged but never published.
The .appx is signed with ACE's self-signed test certificate (ace-test-cert.cer). To sideload it, trust the certificate once in an elevated PowerShell, then install:
Import-Certificate -FilePath .\ace-test-cert.cer -CertStoreLocation Cert:\LocalMachine\TrustedPeople
Import-Certificate -FilePath .\ace-test-cert.cer -CertStoreLocation Cert:\LocalMachine\Root
Add-AppxPackage -Path ".\Agent Command Engine 0.1.40.appx"Added
- 🔄 Models button in the launch bar. It has the installed Claude and Codex CLIs refresh their own model lists in the background (no model call), adds any model ACE doesn't know yet to the dropdown under "New from CLI", and shows a popup listing what was added. Picks up Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Sol/Luna without an ACE update (TICKET-0156).
- Hyper-V install-test runner for a signed ACE AppX (TICKET-0086).
Changed
- Windows: Setup installs the Claude and Codex CLIs into
%USERPROFILE%\.ace\npmand adds that folder to your PATH. The Store build needs no restricted capability and supports Windows 10 1809 and later. CLIs you installed yourself are still found through PATH (TICKET-0160).
Fixed
- AppX on a clean machine: new agents no longer fail with "claude.exe is not recognized" / "Cannot find module ...codex.js" (TICKET-0157, TICKET-0160).
- Windows setup no longer stops at "Please specify one of them using the --source option" when installing Node.js (TICKET-0158).
- The usage bar no longer disappears during a refresh, which made the whole window jump. The last known values stay visible (TICKET-0159).
- Usage refreshes after agent activity instead of polling while idle (TICKET-0155).
- Windows setup refreshes PATH after installing Node.js instead of restarting ACE (TICKET-0148).
v0.1.35
.github/workflows/release.yml) requires WIN_CSC_LINK/WIN_CSC_KEY_PASSWORD and MAC_CSC_LINK/MAC_CSC_KEY_PASSWORD/APPLE_ID/APPLE_APP_SPECIFIC_PASSWORD/APPLE_TEAM_ID as repo secrets — none are configured yet, so these are electron-builder's local unsigned/test-signed Windows output, not publisher-signed artifacts, and there is no macOS build in this release (no Mac available to build one, and the signed CI path that would build it needs those same missing secrets). Add the signing secrets under Settings > Secrets and variables > Actions to get a properly signed release including macOS.
tests.yml is green on all three platforms (ubuntu/macos/windows-latest) as of this release — first clean run since v0.1.33; two pre-existing CI bugs dating to v0.1.34 were found and fixed along the way (TICKET-0154).
Added
- Prompt Behavior tab: whole-machine analytics on prompting habits, token spend and model choices over time, with a documented Token Efficiency Score. First-prompt length is now tracked (going forward) via a new privacy-conscious hook that records only its character/word count, never the prompt text (TICKET-0151).
- Optional first-prompt questionnaire popup on a fresh Claude session or
/clear(topic, description, things to avoid/include, done-looks-like), driven by a realSessionStarthook; toggleable in Settings (TICKET-0150).
Fixed
- Terminal image paste saves the captured image and inserts its path through terminal paste handling. Alt-click handles explicit hyperlinks, file URLs and relative file paths, and reports opening failures (TICKET-0149).
- Alt-click link detection no longer splits a file/folder path at an embedded space, whether it's wrapped in backticks or a
Tool(path)call summary, or printed as bare, unquoted prose the way Claude/Codex most often do (TICKET-0152). - macOS/Linux: Setup no longer misreports a genuinely installed Node.js as missing. A Finder/Dock launch inherited launchd's minimal PATH instead of the login shell's, so Homebrew/nvm-installed Node was invisible to the prereq check even though it worked fine in Terminal (TICKET-0153).
v0.1.34
.github/workflows/release.yml) failed on this tag because WIN_CSC_LINK/WIN_CSC_KEY_PASSWORD aren't configured as repo secrets yet — these binaries are electron-builder's local unsigned/test-signed output, not the real publisher-signed artifacts. Add the signing secrets under Settings > Secrets and variables > Actions and re-run the workflow to get a properly signed release; replace these assets (or delete this draft) once that's done.
Added
- Git is bundled and used automatically when it isn't on PATH, and a fresh Setup screen now installs Node.js and the Claude/Codex CLIs without requiring a click per prerequisite, recovering on its own after a Node.js install instead of asking for a manual restart (TICKET-0148).
Changed
- Skills and attribution now ship in the application, replacing the mandatory download gate introduced in 0.1.33 (TICKET-0132, supersedes that part of TICKET-0127).
- Electron, electron-builder and Vite upgraded; Monaco loads only when the editor opens, with local workers. PR and release CI build and test the checked-out commit. Release delivery requires signing and checksums (TICKET-0085, 0086, 0091).
- Main owns terminal lifecycles, reconnects and cleanup. Project actions have one toolbar; agent cards can be focused without restarting their PTYs (TICKET-0079, 0121).
- Projects are searchable and pinnable; Notes and Skills have project navigation. Settings refresh launch choices immediately and empty model selections disable launch. Unsupported provider actions are labelled unavailable (TICKET-0128, 0143).
Fixed
- Windows terminals recognize Claude npm packages containing bin/claude.exe, while retaining support for older cli.js installations (TICKET-0147).
- Setup no longer misreports Node.js as failed to install when winget finds it already present with nothing to upgrade (TICKET-0148).
- Real-path project confinement rejects escaping symlinks and Windows junctions. Native folder selection authorizes registration; IPC is tied to the ACE main window, external links accept only HTTP(S), and launch arguments are shell-aware (TICKET-0085).
- Shared Notes mutations preserve other writers, use stable IDs and an escaped text format, and retain drafts on failed saves (TICKET-0134).
- Editor saves track the written snapshot and reject external-file conflicts. Project reselection, rename/trash and window close preserve dirty buffers or require an explicit discard decision (TICKET-0135 through TICKET-0141).
- Usage responses cannot overwrite a different project's history; reports group by stable IDs. Dialogs trap and restore focus, and secondary text is lighter (TICKET-0107, 0140, 0142, 0144).
v0.1.33
v0.1.32
Fixed
- The stop / notification sound is now bundled with the app and wired automatically — it plays out of the box on a clean install, in every project ACE launches an agent in, on Windows and macOS. No per-project
.claude/settings.local.jsonneeded. The mute toggle writes one global marker instead of a file in each project (TICKET-0124).
Windows (portable + installer) and macOS (dmg, x64 + arm64) builds are attached by CI.
v0.1.31
Added
- Guided project setup: a new project's first Claude agent auto-runs
/project-setup, which interviews you and rewrites the scaffold's config, memory, and docs (TICKET-0120) - Explicit application menu — About (shows version), Settings (
Ctrl/Cmd+,), Help links; Reload/DevTools only in unpackaged builds (TICKET-0119) - Agents view layout toggle: two columns / one wide column, remembered per machine (TICKET-0121)
Build
- MSIX build (
scripts/build-msix.js) for the Microsoft Store, with a patched TargetDeviceFamily range (TICKET-0115/0116/0117/0122)
Windows builds only this release (portable + installer). macOS was not built.
v0.1.30
Fixed
- Notification sound now actually plays on Stop / Notification. The hook was spawning the audio player detached and calling
process.exit(0)immediately, which killed it before any sound on Windows. Playback is synchronous now; the Windows path usesSoundPlayer.PlaySyncand theplay-seatbelt*.ps1helpers are gone. Addsassets/notification.wav(TICKET-0114).
PR: #12 — publish this draft after that merges to main.
