v3.9.9 — Windows overlay, companion, badge and alerts open again
Windows: the match overlay, companion window, corner badge and match-end alert open again. Since 3.7.0 none of these windows could open on Windows — the app's main window and its extra windows were started with different WebView2 settings, and Windows refuses to mix them. Match tracking and stats were never affected. Thanks to the player who reported it with a diagnostic file attached.
Export diagnostic now includes overlay health (Settings → Tracker health → Export diagnostic): window mode, whether the overlay window exists and is on screen, and how many times it was asked to show versus actually shown. Still counters and flags only — no names, no match data, no file paths, no screen coordinates — and the file stays on your PC unless you attach it somewhere.
Linux and macOS were not affected by the overlay bug; their builds carry the diagnostic change only.
Windows updates itself (Update & restart). macOS: download the universal dmg from the homepage. Linux (Arch/Omarchy): re-run the install line from the homepage.
No change to what is uploaded.
v3.9.8 — Set Radar trailers play on Linux and macOS; Marvel: Darkhold Destiny on the radar
Set Radar trailers play inside the app on Linux and macOS. The in-app trailer player showed YouTube's "Video player configuration error / Error 153" on Linux and macOS. It now plays there the same way it always has on Windows.
Marvel: Darkhold Destiny is on the Set Radar — announced at NYCC, with its official announce trailer. (The set itself reached every version through the live feed; 3.9.8 also builds the trailer into the app.)
Windows updates itself (Update & restart). macOS: download the universal dmg from the homepage. Linux (Arch/Omarchy): re-run the install line from the homepage.
No change to what is uploaded.
v3.9.7 — move the match alert anywhere; Early Access Bo3 records as Bo3
Move the match-end alert anywhere. Settings → Move alert, or Move match alert in the badge's ⚙ menu, pins a sample alert with a grip: drag it where you like, then Done (or Reset for the top-right corner). Handy when a 1080p recording crops the corner. Real alerts still let every click through to Arena.
Reality Fracture Early Access is tracked properly. Bo3 Early Access matches (Standard_Bo3_EarlyAccess) now record as Bo3 instead of Bo1, as do direct challenges (Constructed_BestOf3) and Bo3 drafts. The queue reads "Standard Early Access". Reality Fracture cards already show names and art in the overlay and My Stats.
Windows and macOS also get 3.9.6's boot fix: the app opens even if the meta download hangs.
All three platforms. Windows updates in-app (Update & restart). macOS: download the dmg from https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download. Linux (Arch / Omarchy):
curl -L https://filthy-net-deck.com/downloads/filthy-net-deck-bin.tar.gz | tar xz
cd filthy-net-deck-bin && makepkg -si
Quit from the tray and reopen after upgrading — only one copy ever runs.
v3.9.6 — splash cannot hang on boot (Linux)
WebKitGTK fetch of the meta feed could stay pending with no socket, which left the splash up for the life of the process. Boot now paints the cached board immediately, times out the download, and dismisses the splash after 8s regardless.
Linux only. Windows and macOS stay on v3.9.5 — version.json / the signed updater are unchanged. Install or upgrade with the two lines on https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download
curl -L https://filthy-net-deck.com/downloads/filthy-net-deck-bin.tar.gz | tar xz
cd filthy-net-deck-bin && makepkg -si
Quit from the tray and reopen after upgrading — only one copy ever runs.
v3.9.5 — Aetherfield holds all of Reality Fracture
Reality Fracture is fully spoiled, and Aetherfield now has all of it: the 461-card set, its 103 Commander cards and the 18-token sheet — 118,276 printings in the galaxy, up from 117,621. Opening Reality Fracture from Set Radar lands on the whole set.
Also in the galaxy: the card panel's close button works again, and clicking a colour on the compass flies to that colour's arm.
First release on Windows, macOS and Linux together since 3.8.2.
- Windows: Settings → Check for updates → Update & restart, or the installer at https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download
- macOS: universal .dmg at https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download
- Linux (Arch / Omarchy): the two-line recipe at https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download. After upgrading, quit FND from the tray and open it again.
v3.9.4 — drag the presence badge, cog menu above the pill (Linux)
Linux-only. Windows and macOS stay on 3.8.2.
The presence badge is draggable from the dotted grip on the left — like the match HUD — and the position is remembered. Click ⚙ for overlay settings; the panel sits above the pill so you can close it with ⚙ or ×.
Install (Arch / Omarchy): the two-line recipe at https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download
After upgrading: quit FND from the tray and open it again.
v3.9.3 — drag the presence badge, cog clicks (Linux)
Linux-only. Windows and macOS stay on 3.8.2.
The presence badge is draggable from the dotted grip on the left — like the match HUD — and the position is remembered. Click the ⚙ for overlay settings; 3.9.2 accidentally swallowed those clicks.
Install (Arch / Omarchy): the two-line recipe at https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download
After upgrading: quit FND from the tray and open it again.
v3.9.2 — drag the presence badge (Linux)
Linux-only. Windows and macOS stay on 3.8.2.
The presence badge is no longer glued to the bottom-left corner. Drag it anywhere — like the match HUD — and the position is remembered, so it stays inside a 1080p recording on 16:10 panels without a one-machine letterbox hack.
Install (Arch / Omarchy): the two-line recipe at https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download
After upgrading: quit FND from the tray and open it again.
v3.9.1 — overlay clicks over fullscreen Arena (Linux)
Linux-only. Windows and macOS stay on 3.8.2.
The badge and HUD now stay clickable over fullscreen Arena, including after you switch workspaces and come back. Arena can be left on true 1920×1080 Full Screen for OBS / YouTube.
Install (Arch / Omarchy): the two-line recipe at https://filthy-net-deck.com/#download
After upgrading: quit FND from the tray and open it again, then restart Arena once so Proton picks up the pointer-grab fix.
v3.9.0
Linux release. Windows and macOS stay on v3.8.2 — nothing here changes for them. Get Windows and macOS builds from filthy-net-deck.com.
On Arch / Omarchy:
- The match HUD and presence badge now sit on top of MTG Arena and take clicks, even over a game filling the screen.
- Drag and resize the HUD anywhere; it remembers where you left it.
- The overlay follows Arena between workspaces instead of appearing on all of them.
- Super+K works again with Filthy Net Deck installed.
Install or update:
curl -L https://filthy-net-deck.com/downloads/filthy-net-deck-bin.tar.gz | tar xz
cd filthy-net-deck-bin && makepkg -si
Restart Arena once after updating — the bundled Hyprland rule that keeps the overlay clickable applies when Arena's window opens.
