Releases: LBNL-ETA/XMLParser
Release list
v1.0.5
What's new
Adds the standard LBNL two-layer CMake preset structure and a project README. Infrastructure-only release — no source changes.
Shipped (CMakePresets.json)
default-debug/default-release— standard configure. Picks the system default compiler (MSVC on Windows, systemcc/c++on Linux/macOS).local-debug/local-release— identical todefault-*today since xmlParser has noFetchContentdependencies, but kept in the structure so personal compiler presets can"inherits": "local"and the file is forward-compatible if a dep ever gets added.
Plus two hidden: true inheritance bases (default, local) so personal user presets can inherit cleanly.
Personal user presets
CMakeUserPresets.json is now gitignored. The README shows a realistic per-machine example — building with WSL Clang on a Windows machine — including the JetBrains vendor.jetbrains.com/clion.toolchain hint so CLion 2023.2+ automatically routes the preset through the WSL toolchain without per-preset configuration in Settings → CMake.
README
The repo had no README.md before this release. Added a short overview, prerequisites, consumer installation snippet (FetchContent + add_subdirectory), and the full Building section that documents the shipped presets and personal-overrides workflow.
Notes
- No API or header changes.
- No new dependencies.
v1.0.4
Changes
- Removed wide-char (
wchar_t) support, making the char-only API the permanent default - Ensured
_XMLWINDOWSremains defined when wide-char mode is disabled - Library is now encoding-neutral (char-only)
Breaking Changes
- All wide-char API functions and types have been removed. Code relying on
XMLWSTR,ToXMLStringToolW, or other
wide-char interfaces will need to migrate to char-based equivalents.
You can copy that directly. Ready for the next repo when you are.
