Release list
v26.08.3_LBI
BlueRetro v26.08.3_LBI — GameCube
Companion app v0.25
This release adds updating over the network, gates firmware by hardware, and
fixes a heap problem that could silently stop controllers reaching the console.
The network update feature requires BBA or BBA-Emulation through Swiss, in this release you will not be able to update via network unless the adapter is running v26.08.3_LBI as it requires hardware version identification that is only present in this release. Future updates will work with it.
Change log:
Companion App:
Signed network based updates.
Mapping utility now support per game mapping. Txt file with title names in the zip.
Ability to save and apply configs from SD card
Debug Logging and saving
Paired Device management (Delete devices that are being problematic and causing erroneous connections)
Ability to roll back firmware to previous version without flashing
Network testing tools, including updating system time via NTP (unix time so clock will not be set to your timezone)
BlueRetro v26.08.3_LBI:
Fixed heap overrun issues from Companion app allocations
Fixed NSO controller connections reversion from v26.08.1
Add support for hardware version identification
v26.08_LBI
First Laser Bear Industries Release. This version of the firmware includes support for flashing via DOL application directly on the GameCube, the app is included but will not work with older firmware, you will need to install this firmware via the web-config, future updates will be possible with the DOL app.
I recommend using the beta web app as it is more robust https://darthcloud.github.io/BlueRetroWebCfg_Beta/
v26.08.1_LBI
Second release, the update DOL has been changed to BlueRetro Companion.
BlueRetro Companion has been expanded to basic mapping, and firmware updates.
It now allows for easy controller remapping on GameCube.
Load the DOL with Swiss, then select controller remap, you are presented three options based on the type of controller. It walks through each button press and maps what you select. Mappings done with the utility follow controllers via MAC addresses.
Firmware updates are possible via the app, for firmware updating put blueretro.bin at the root of the SD2SP2 or SD Gekko and it will automatically be detected and loaded when selecting the update option, the updater shows the current installed firmware version and the version of the update on the SD allowing you to see if the update is needed.
HW1 variants have been released, but are untested, use at your own risk.
HW2 version has been successfully tested on all 4 major variants of the GameCube BlueRetro Internal Adapters released by Laser Bear Industries.
