TideReader 0.2.0 expands the streaming overlay and desktop experience with a full overlay customization system and an installed-build startup fix.

Highlights:

  • Customizable overlay styling for song, artist, and album text
  • Installed Windows fonts available in the settings UI with live preview
  • Overlay controls for artwork size, artwork position, text alignment, background color, app-name visibility, and playback-state visibility
  • Per-field character limits for song, artist, and album with optional truncation
  • Light and dark theme support in the desktop UI
  • Installed-build fix for WebView2 startup by moving browser data into a writable per-user directory
  • Browser overlay cache-control improvements to reduce stale overlay pages after updates
