SIP integration

  • Updated the Postman collection and SIP API reference for the current SIP v1.2 contract
  • Kept profile activation as the only mutating SIP endpoint; profile CRUD and full overlay settings remain in the TideReader UI

Desktop and reliability

  • Added service-mode startup readiness checks for backend and SIP endpoints
  • Improved startup diagnostics so service-mode failures are easier to identify
  • Avoided ASP.NET content-root hangs when launched from UNC paths
  • Defaulted fresh installer installs to %ProgramFiles%\Starsong Tools\TideReader while preserving existing in-place upgrades
  • Added desktop launch configuration coverage for service and show mode behavior

Security posture

  • SIP remains loopback-only and rejects non-localhost Host headers
  • CORS is not enabled for the SIP listener
  • JSON requests reject unknown fields and enforce a small request-body limit
  • SIP responses include no-store and browser hardening headers
  • Status payloads exclude full settings, output folders, log paths, credentials, browser debug state, and raw detection debug data

Notes

  • This release is a minor version bump because it adds a new local integration surface and service-mode workflow
  • Automated frontend coverage, backend coverage, dependency audit, release build, desktop publish, and release packaging checks are expected to pass for this release
