What's new

  1. Chat: a new tab where a local Ollama model talks to you with your profile, memory, BRAIN.md and related past chats as context. It gets the same tools as your agents, so it can look things up, save memories and add or edit notes (every change is versioned). Chats are saved in Chroma, and Floating window pops the chat out into an always-on-top window (Chrome, Edge and Arc; a regular pop-up elsewhere). If you have no chat model yet, one click downloads llama3.2.
  2. Settings: a gear next to theme and language lets you give each graph node type its own color, so Brain, Profile, Memory, Projects, Skills, Sources, Notes, Folders and Tags are easy to tell apart.
  3. Collapsible sidebar: collapse it to a narrow rail of icons from the button in the logo row.
  4. My connections now lists apps where you added brain with an "Add MCP server" form (detected the first time they use brain), plus apps you note by hand.
  5. Website: chat mention and a support widget.
  6. License change: Starting with this version, brain is licensed under MIT + Commons Clause. You can still use, study, modify and share it for free, including at work, but you may not sell it: charging third parties for a product or service (hosting, support or consulting included) whose value comes entirely or substantially from brain. v0.01.0 and earlier stay under plain MIT.
