Early EDC15P software, edits written where you see them, EDC16 durations the right way up, a public roadmap and a lot of small fixes reported on the forum.

Detection

  • EDC15P early PD software (1999-2002: 038906019A, 019AJ, 019AN...) is now supported: three memory layouts recognised (standard 64 KB blocks, compact 48 KB blocks, early 32 KB blocks), codeblock numbers read from the file, maps classified by axis shape and values since these ECUs use other axis identifiers. Single SOI map with its corrections, SOI limiter, Start IQ, durations 00-05, EGR, IQ limiters, boost maps, N75... A 019AJ goes from 105 to 171 maps, a 019A from nothing to 216.
  • EGR hysteresis on every EDC15P (two curves per codeblock), added to the completeness check.
  • EDC15P: the EGR of the early software was a flat second table; the real one, skipped by the scanner because of an empty header in front of it, is now found.
  • EDC16: "Fuel correction by exhaust gas temp" detected on the PD software (BEW, Superb MK1, most 03G906021AN) where the grid is left at its neutral value. 85 maps gained on the bench, nothing lost.
  • EDC16: duration blocks stored from the highest RPM down (U34 software 1037376704) are displayed the right way up.
  • EDC15P: injector duration 05 oriented like the other durations on the 10x10 and AXR 6L variants, with the proper axis labels.
  • EDC16: the completeness check accepts files with a single N75 duty cycle map (some U31 like the BEW have only one).

Fixed: editing and saving

  • Edits on maps displayed transposed (torque limiter, IQ by MAF/MAP, EGR 13x16) were written to the wrong cells from the second row on. Export, checksum and copies to similar maps were affected. The map viewer and the editor now share one cell layout. Reported by kults on a 019GQ.
  • All EDC16 injection duration maps were shown mirrored (long durations at the bottom): a guard in the viewer flipped them back after aligning them. Reported by tunechip.
  • N75 duty cycle values are kept between 0 and 100 %, other maps within what their raw type can store (values beyond wrapped around and came out negative in WinOLS).
  • "Restore original" on an axis clears the previous edited labels.
  • Each map edit keeps the display orientation it was made in, so reopening a project applies it on the right rows and the saved checksum stays valid.
  • "Save and correct checksum" corrects the in-memory state first, then saves once.
  • Editor zoom: the stored zoom was sometimes lost when opening the editor (display back at 100 % while the toolbar still showed the stored value). Zoom requests are now serialised and the editor re-applies its zoom once opened.

Fixed: checksum and export

  • EDC15P checksum: the variant is chosen from the V4.1 signatures. The compact layout (019AJ) now gets its 7 checksums right; a layout the app does not know (019A) is left untouched and reported as unsupported instead of being corrupted.
  • Mappack export: every map is described with its real file layout and axes (EGR 13x16 exported as 16 rows x 13 columns, torque limiter EDC15 as 3 x 21, IQ by MAF/MAP as 16 x 13). The EGR of a Superb opened scrambled in WinOLS.
  • Mappack export: the codeblock number is part of the map name on EDC15, like in the app; the Other folder stays last (Z-Other); 1D maps are exported as one row with their X axis; no more "one export per project" limit.
  • Green confirmation when the binary file is exported, like the mappack.

New

  • Public roadmap: a button next to the help button on the dashboard opens it in the app language, read from GitHub so it stays current. The roadmap lives in ROADMAP.md (and its translations) in the repository.
  • About window: real app version and a link to every release, also in the update dialog.
  • Zoom buttons on the 3D view of a map window; the Preview is unavailable when the map is already in 3D.
  • Import screen: brand, year (1999-2009), transmission and stage use the app dropdowns.
  • Torque limiter of the 03G906016JD (U31), Expected Fuel Temp and Fuel Volume Correction on EDC16U1, no more "Load"/"Value" titles on the 2D graphs.
  • Animated editor backgrounds no longer stutter on every edit: the edited bytes are rebuilt after the cell is drawn and the background layer is kept as is.
  • Dashboard: the size of the projects folder is shown next to the file count, the number of projects per page is kept while the app is open (back to 7 on the next launch), and the window has the same minimum size as in the editor.
  • Power estimate PDF: the date follows the app language in Spanish, Italian and German too (the texts were already translated).
