Playhub 1.1.8

This update makes Gaming Mode easier to repair, easier to diagnose, and more reliable from the moment Windows starts.

What's new

• A new Troubleshooting card can verify and repair Gaming Mode, its Decky companion, the local agent, startup configuration, the selected Windows shell, and UWPHook with one button.
• A new diagnostic report collects the relevant Playhub, Gaming Mode, Steam, Decky, system, process, and log information into a single support file on the desktop. From now on, if you have any problem you know what share in attachment.
• The Playhub installer now installs or updates the bundled Gaming Mode companion automatically whenever Playhub is installed or updated.
• Gaming Mode now recognizes Apollo and Vibepollo installations (and also Sunshine as always).

Improvements

• Big Picture detection is more tolerant across languages, displays, and slower launches, with a bounded splash-screen fail-safe and reliable foreground recovery.
• The Gaming Mode agent now runs at a lower process priority and performs less repeated process work, leaving more resources available to Steam and games.

Fixes

• Restarting or shutting down from Steam Big Picture no longer changes the next boot to Desktop Mode when Gaming Mode is selected as the default.
• The desktop safety watchdog now distinguishes a real Steam exit from Windows shutdown and Steam update restarts.
• Fixed cases where Gaming Mode could remain behind a black splash screen even though Big Picture was already running.
• Fixed cases where Steam's desktop window appeared briefly before Big Picture.

Install or update

Download Playhub-Setup.exe below and run it.

If Playhub is already installed, the installer updates the application and Gaming Mode companion while keeping your existing settings.

The installer is currently unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may display "Windows protected your PC". Select More info -> Run anyway to continue.
