v035 — Polish + accessibility (closes UI track)

Final milestone of the v026-v035 UI modernization track. New: WCAG AA contrast tests covering every chrome color pair (INK on CANVAS, primary CTA on/off, error text, dark mode), bumping ERROR_TEXT to Tailwind red-700 to clear 4.5:1 on white. New: prefers_reduced_motion(ctx) and effective(ctx, duration) helpers detecting egui's animation_time == 0 signal plus BSE_REDUCE_MOTION env var. With this BSE ships ~80-85% of the Miro/Linear look without leaving the egui stack.

v034 — Hot-reload of theme tokens

Optional feature 'hot-reload-tokens' on bse-ui : a notify-based watcher reloads crates/bse-ui/assets/themes/*.ron on save and fires a callback. Drop-in design-iteration speed-up — edit a token, see it live, no recompile. Cfg-gated so release builds carry zero extra cost.

v033 — Command palette

Cmd+K opens a Figma/Linear-style command palette listing tools, room actions and account actions. Fuzzy substring + word-prefix matcher, ArrowDown/Up navigation, Enter executes. Categories group rows (Tool / Room / Account). Modal animates in over a dim backdrop using the v026 motion tokens.

v032 — Toast notifications

egui-notify wired into BseApp. Connection state transitions (connected / lost / unreachable) and sign-out surface as bottom-right toasts with appropriate tones (success / warning / error / info). One-line additions covering the most visible silent-failure paths.

v031 — Status bar polish

Bottom bar reduces to a minimal Linear-style strip : compact app identity + zoom on the left, presence avatar stack + StatusPill (Live / Connecting / Reconnecting / Offline) on the right. Developer metrics (FPS, element count) gated behind BSE_DEBUG=1. New StatusPill and avatar / avatar_stack components added to bse_ui.

v030 — Floating tool bar

Toolbar is no longer a flat row at the top — it's a pill-shaped floating overlay centered bottom of the canvas, with Phosphor icons and three independent animation channels (hover/press/select). Mimics tldraw/FigJam's pattern. Account widget (display name, room, Sign out) keeps the dedicated 44px top strip.

v029 — Room picker redesigned

Room list now renders as soft cards with strong typography hierarchy. Owner/Member status appears as a colored caption. Every button is a PillButton. The outer dialog is a bse_ui Modal with proper scale-in over a dim backdrop. HTTP and background-thread plumbing untouched.

v028 — Login modal redesigned

First user-visible payoff of the v026-v027 foundation. Login + sign-up form rebuilt on top of bse_ui::Modal and bse_ui::PillButton, using Inter typography and Miro ink/slate colors. Backdrop fades in, primary button is a proper black pill with hover/press animation, helper texts adopt the new type scale. HTTP and session logic untouched.

v027 — Core components

Three reusable widgets land : PillButton (5 variants, animated hover/press), Card (8 Miro pastel variants + clickable card_button helper), Modal (dim backdrop + scale-in via DURATION_STANDARD). Built on the v026 theme tokens — feature screens get a Miro look in single-line widget calls. No app surface uses them yet ; the refactors land starting v028.

v026 — Theme foundation

Inter Variable font embedded, Phosphor icon set wired, full Miro palette ported as Rust constants in bse-ui/src/theme/colors.rs. apply_bse_theme(ctx, ThemeMode) installs the whole stack in one call. Motion tokens (durations, easings, spring presets) ready for the next milestones. This is plumbing — the app already looks subtly different but the visible payoffs land starting v027.
