CleanLens 0.3.0 — Disk analysis and app-wide refresh

What’s new

• Find same-size file candidates and verify duplicate contents with SHA-256 before considering deletion.
• Save local Disk snapshots and compare scans of the same drive or folder, with paged change results.
• Save exact-path cleanup plans with measured sizes and risk labels. Applying a plan requires a new scan of the same root and explicit confirmation.
• Export inventory, leftover explanations, full Disk scan results, duplicate findings, snapshot differences, quarantine and history to local HTML or CSV reports.
• Review quarantine payload and original-path availability, and restore multiple items in one reviewed action.
• Inspect why each leftover candidate matched; services, scheduled tasks and startup items remain read-only reports.
• Associate saved Install Monitor sessions with the selected application.
• Refresh the WPF interface across its pages, controls, lists, dialogs and Disk empty state.

Safety and limits

SHA-256 checks file contents only after same-size candidates are found. CleanLens never chooses duplicate files automatically, and at least one copy from each group must remain. Disk snapshots keep local metadata and can use substantial storage for large scans. Cleanup plans never act without a fresh same-root scan and a confirmation. Reports remain on this PC. The release is an unsigned Windows x64 portable ZIP; no installer or updater is included.

CleanLens 0.2.1 - Feature guide refresh

CleanLens 0.2.1 refreshes the project guide and website to match the current Windows app.

Documented workflows

• Installed app inventory, filters, checkbox selection and Manual-delete-only batch cleanup.
• Reviewed registered uninstallers, Authenticode checks and read-only leftover reports.

The app functionality is unchanged from 0.2.0. Disk measurements use logical file lengths, skip junction and symbolic-link targets, and do not open ZIP contents. Permanent deletion bypasses the Recycle Bin and cannot be undone.

CleanLens 0.2.0 is a portable Windows x64 preview.

What is new

• Scan a drive or folder on demand, browse indexed folders, view the largest files and folders, inspect file-type totals, and explore a size-weighted treemap.
• Delete selected disk paths only after reviewing the full paths and confirming permanent deletion. ZIP files are counted by stored size and are never opened; junction and symbolic-link targets are not followed.
• Select one or multiple applications with checkboxes. Multiple apps can only use Manual delete.
• Use the refreshed desktop lists and custom Windows title bar.

Manual cleanup

• Checks registered and Windows Installer locations, Program Files x64/x86, app-data roots in accessible Windows profiles, shared ProgramData, Steam app-ID paths and supported personal libraries.
• Lists exact app-name or publisher/product matches individually; results start unchecked.
• Move selected files or folders into local quarantine and restore them later, or choose permanent deletion with its separate confirmation.

The scan is limited to supported locations. It does not scan the whole disk or inspect file contents. A matching folder name does not prove ownership; review every full path before acting.

Safety notes

Review the full path of every cleanup candidate. Manual deletion is permanent, and a matching application name does not prove that a folder belongs to that app. This preview does not cover every Windows app type or every leftover location.
