CleanLens 0.4.1
This release adds a focused Microsoft Defender scan and preserves the selected user's scan folders through the Windows elevation prompt.
- Scan Downloads, Desktop, local temporary files, and one optional folder with the Defender engine.
- The scan requires Windows UAC approval and uses a custom scan with remediation disabled. CleanLens shows Defender's output for review and never deletes or quarantines a finding.
- The original Windows user's folder paths are passed through UAC, including when Windows asks for credentials from a different administrator account and when Downloads is redirected.
- This is a limited folder scan, not full-device antivirus coverage. Defender exclusions are ignored for this custom scan, and archive contents are checked.
- Existing Windows Defender cloud-protection and sample-submission settings apply; Windows may submit samples according to those settings.
- Disk results include useful size filters and proportional size bars.
- Windows x64 portable ZIP is self-contained and unsigned. No installer or updater is included.
Verification
The Release win-x64 self-contained publish completed successfully. Website and desktop localization validation, JavaScript syntax validation, and ZIP-content/checksum verification passed. No live Defender scan was run on the build machine.
