The gem cost in the Customize menu stays readable after a purchase, and the launcher can choose the graphics card. The whole story has now been played from start to finish with this port. On 0.1.7, the launcher offers this version when it opens.
Fixes
- The gem cost of the next upgrade is whole after a purchase. After buying an upgrade in the Customize menu, the cost of the next level next to "Next" could appear stretched and cut into strips until the menu was opened again. The game draws each cost into a small text image that starts narrow and is redrawn at full width in the same place; the port kept showing the narrow version. It now switches to the full-width one.
- Fewer rare startup crashes. The FSR 4 upscaler is only prepared when it is chosen. One rare startup crash happened while it was being set up and replaced on the first frame, even when another upscaler was in use.
New
- Graphics card choice on the Video page of the launcher, for PCs with more than one card (for example a laptop with an integrated and a dedicated GPU). Automatic picks the most powerful one.
- If the game ever stops drawing for 10 seconds (a freeze), the log now records where every thread is, so a report with the log is enough to find the cause.
Install
On 0.1.7 or earlier: accept the update when the launcher offers it. Your saves, settings and mods are kept.
New install: extract the zip anywhere (not inside the zip itself), open Gravity Rush Launcher.exe, choose your game folder on the Game page, and press Play.
You need your own copy of Gravity Rush Remastered (PS4), European release CUSA01113 version 01.00, as an unpacked game folder. You also need Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a Vulkan 1.3 graphics card.
Reports and F12 captures are welcome in Issues.
