Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 21
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 21
- Leaving focus mode, the sidebar fades in instead of popping back
- Internals: the audit algorithm is its own module; AI providers only carry the text
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 20
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 20
- Chat answers appear as they are written, with every model (DeepSeek, Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, local); the first words come in seconds instead of waiting for the whole answer
- Reloading or leaving the page mid-answer no longer loses it: it is finished and saved anyway
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 19
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 19
- The chat remembers the model you picked: per session and per lesson or notebook, also after a restart
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 18
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 18
- Faster recognition with Faster-Whisper (NVIDIA GPU and CPU): pieces of the audio are recognized together, about 2.5x faster on the CPU with the same words; a smaller graphics card retries with smaller pieces before falling back to the CPU
- Video and recognition run at the same time when the graphics card or Gemini recognizes
- Quiet mode in Settings → AI → Compute: less fan noise and heat (half the cores, video at low priority, one step at a time)
- Internals tidied up: settings and the lesson page split into smaller parts, one way to upload files, fewer copies of the same controls
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 17
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 17
- The tutorial says Claude on your plan answers right in the app (Claude Code · plan) and shows whether your Claude Code is ready
- README: how to use Claude without an API key
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 16
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 16
- Claude Code on your plan: pick "Claude Code · plan" in the chat or for audits, and your own installed, signed-in Claude Code answers right in the app, with timecodes, no API key
- The app never reads your Claude sign-in: it runs claude as is; to sign in, run claude in a terminal
- The model (sonnet / opus / haiku) is in Settings → AI
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 15
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 15
- Claude (MCP): reading a lesson now fits in one answer: the audit and the [MM:SS] transcript by default (5x smaller), other transcript formats on request
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 14
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 14
- Player controls do one thing each: full screen offers only its exit, focus mode has no separate-window button, the separate window has no full screen of its own
- Focus mode (F) in the notes: the notes slide along with the video and keep the paragraph you were reading in place; leaving focus no longer clips or jumps the video; pressing F again mid-way turns back smoothly
- The tutorial is minimal: one idea per step, a quiet sketch, dots instead of the step list; steps arrive on soft Apple-style springs
- The intro is now actually seen on first launch: it starts as the boot screen fades, the mark staying in place
- Tutorial transitions move even with the system Reduce Motion setting
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 13
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 13
- The tutorial asks how to connect AI: Claude through MCP (recommended, no keys), an API key, a local model, or skip
- Changes made through MCP (your Claude writing an audit or notes) show up in the open app at once, without a reload
- The library database can no longer lose an edit when the app and the MCP server write at the same moment
- Safer file writes, also on Windows
- The diary no longer skips or repeats entries while you scroll and others are added or deleted
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 9
Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 9
- Processing settings are clear at a glance: three presets with what you get and what it costs, one line "You will get", the notes group, everything else folded under "Set up by hand"
- Settings cards fold to their title and current value and open on a click (AI, Processing)
- Our own dropdowns instead of the browser ones: smooth, no focus rings, keyboard and type-ahead; the chat model is a compact dropdown that says which providers are ready
- Code blocks: the language label no longer overlaps the copy button; the chat command button is a "/" key
