Lecture Studio 1.0.0 alpha 18

  • Faster recognition with Faster-Whisper (NVIDIA GPU and CPU): pieces of the audio are recognized together, about 2.5x faster on the CPU with the same words; a smaller graphics card retries with smaller pieces before falling back to the CPU
  • Video and recognition run at the same time when the graphics card or Gemini recognizes
  • Quiet mode in Settings → AI → Compute: less fan noise and heat (half the cores, video at low priority, one step at a time)
  • Internals tidied up: settings and the lesson page split into smaller parts, one way to upload files, fewer copies of the same controls
