Fedora Rawhide Uke — Alpha 1
Pre-releaseFedora Rawhide Uke — Alpha 1
15 October 2026 · Xiaomi Pad 7 / POCO Pad X1 (uke, SM7675) · AArch64
Experimental alpha. Not suitable for daily use. Boot reliability, display
artifacts, power management and several hardware functions remain unresolved.
Keep a separate recovery route and backups. Installation instructions will be
published separately; this release does not provide an installation procedure.

All three downloads are direct .img files. The system image is Android-sparse
EXT4 with an 8 GiB logical filesystem labelled UKE_LINUX; it does not contain a
partition table. Both boot files are complete 96 MiB Android boot v4 images.
The software baseline is normal Linux 7.2.9 revision 1.39. The public boot and
root images are rebuilt to exclude unapproved OEM firmware, calibration data
and device identities. They are not copies of the private tablet filesystem.
Neither rebuilt boot variant nor the rebuilt root filesystem has been
physically tested. Earlier slot-B results apply to the separate development
installation using PARTLABEL=linux; they do not qualify these assets.
A supported firmware provisioning method is not yet available. Wi-Fi, touch,
GPU acceleration and charging depend on firmware and may be unavailable in
these public images. The hardware support table describes development results,
not a promise that every listed function works in this release.
The userdata variant is particularly experimental. Replacing Android
userdata erases Android user data and may prevent Android from starting.
It is not a tested dual-boot configuration. No userdata deployment or physical
boot has been validated.
The local uke account logs in automatically to Plasma and the second local
console, with passwordless sudo for alpha debugging. Root and account passwords
are locked. SSH and automatic USB debug shells are disabled; no Wi-Fi credentials
are included. This local access profile is unsuitable for an unattended device.
English and Turkish translations are included. Discover/PackageKit, Dolphin
administration support, KScreen and KWrite are installed. Vulkan drivers and a
browser are not bundled in this size-limited snapshot.
Kernel updates are excluded from ordinary DNF transactions until a matching
boot/module update is prepared. Installing an RPM does not update the boot
partition. Sources are maintained in the kernel repository
and image builder.

Verify downloaded files against the checksums above and retain the exact
filenames and SHA-256 values when reporting a problem. Read the
short bug-report guide
and hardware status.
Reports should include the selected boot variant and slot, kernel version,
reproduction steps, expected and actual behavior, and reviewed log excerpts.
Remove credentials, unit identifiers, network identities, personal paths and
calibration data before posting. Installation and hardware testing remain
separate from build and package checks.
