LogiKast 1.1 beta 1 — a free Mac app that makes running an Icecast streaming server easy. Built for Radiologik users, and works with any Icecast-compatible encoder.

This is a beta. Please try it and report problems in Issues.

Download

LogiKast-1.1b1.dmg (below, under Assets). Open it and drag LogiKast to Applications. It is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without security warnings. Updating from 1.0: LogiKast offers the update itself (Server › Updates, with beta versions switched on), or replace the app by hand.

Requires: macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple silicon or Intel. Nothing else to install.

What's new since 1.0

  • Backup audio can be any audio file (MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, AIFF, FLAC and more); LogiKast converts it to match your stream
  • Drag and drop a file onto the Backup tab
  • Convert to Match: one click converts your backup to your live stream's format
  • Fix: applying changes could occasionally freeze the server

Known limitations in this beta

  • No HTTPS for listeners yet (plain HTTP only)
  • Tested on macOS 27, 26 Tahoe and 15 Sequoia; macOS 13 and 14 are untested
