ViGaVault v1.3.0 Release Notes
We are excited to announce version 1.3.0 of ViGaVault! This update brings massive improvements to the Amazon integration pipeline, local file scanning intelligence, and general UI/UX stability.
What's New & Changed
- Amazon GraphQL Scanner: Integrated a fully headless Prime Gaming & Luna GraphQL scanner directly on the main thread. It features persistent browser sessions and automated title smart-merging under the Amazon platform tag.
- Amazon Scan Refactoring: Re-engineered the Amazon scan execution pipeline to perform page-reload-free, year-by-year sequential dynamic crawls. Results now render in real-time under a single clean header, while completely silencing all intermediate headless browser progress spam.
- Universal Injection Casing: Improved local copy injection rules! The scanner now applies deduplication and user-casing overrides universally across Genre, Collection, Publisher, and Developer fields. If you type it in ALL CAPS, it stays in ALL CAPS.
- Year Filters Upgrade: Enclosed the new Year filter in a styled, non-collapsible container and added "All" and "None" buttons for faster date navigation.
- SteamGridDB Integration: Added SteamGridDB integration featuring automated API key extraction and an interactive manual cover picker dialog with alternative visual propositions.
- Amazon Luna Support: Added full support for Amazon Luna with multiple region selections and automated login token captures.
- Enhanced Logging: Introduced a main-window-integrated Last Scan Log settings viewer, displaying monospace logs with auto-scaled fonts. Standardized all storefront logs to return clean, count-based metrics instead of spamming giant lists.
- Button Layout Standardization: Standardized all dialog box button layouts globally to keep "Cancel" firmly on the left and "Save/Apply" on the right.
- Dynamic Backups: Changed backup file name generation to dynamically use the actual current database name.
- Date & Sorting Upgrades: Standardized the database date schema to
YYYY-MM-DD. Furthermore, modifying a game's date or title now triggers an immediate in-memory UI list reflow.
Bug Fixes
- Case-Sensitive Filtering: Fixed a long-standing issue where alphabetical sorting in UI filters (Sidebar, Game Manager, Metadata Manager) broke when mixing upper-case and lower-case words.
- Amazon Ghost Deletions: Fixed the Amazon storefront ghost checking logic by swapping from
any()toall(). Galaxy-synced prefix patterns are now completely immune to unlinking during scans. - Filter Layout Reflow: Resolved disappearing dynamic filter checkboxes during sidebar resizing by dynamically balancing layout column stretches.
- Scroll-Wheel Errors: Fixed the scroll-wheel unintentionally changing structure types when hovering over dropdowns in the local sources settings tab.
- Hidden Games Resetting: Fixed an issue where games would return as
NEWafter being manually set toHIDDEN. - Scan Loop Prevention: Excluded
NEEDS_ATTENTIONgames from the automated scrapper queue. They will now only be queried once when added asNEWto prevent infinite network traffic loops. - Duplicate Amazon Titles: Implemented a clean UUID extractor (
get_clean_amazon_id) to successfully unify dot-prefixed cloud IDs with database GOG Galaxy formats, preventing Amazon clones from populating. - Scan Panel Cleanup: Removed the rogue "Go Wild" checkbox from the full intelligent scan panel.
