Installation Options

  • Installer (Clippy-Setup.exe): Recommended. Installs Clippy with desktop/start menu shortcuts, autostart support, and silent one-click updates.
  • Portable archive (Clippy-win-x64.zip): Standalone zero-install folder. Extract anywhere and launch Clippy.exe.

NVENC + Media Foundation work out of the box with no third-party dependencies (ffmpeg is not required).

Hotkeys: F8 — 30 seconds, F9 — 3 minutes.
Clips go to clips/, debug logs to logs/.

  • Clippy auto-restarts after an update with a notification.

Changed

  • Clean distribution: no test files or ffmpeg, ~8 MB installer.
  • The installer cleans up legacy files from previous versions on upgrade ([InstallDelete]).
