ManuNotes 0.7.0
Added
- The edge pill now auto-hides when idle. After 10 seconds with the
pointer away from it (and no card open), it fades out — noorderOut,
so it's still there to feel the pointer reach the screen edge again and
fade back in instantly. The same 10-second window applies right from
launch/login, so it's never invisible before you've had a chance to
notice it. Opening any card keeps the pill visible on every screen
until the last one closes. Toggle it off from the pill's right-click
menu ("Auto-hide Pill") if you'd rather it stay put like before —
on by default, matching "Launch at Login"'s opt-out convention.
ManuNotes 0.6.3
Fixed
- Deck's "+" tile and "ManuNotes" footer could end up hidden behind the
Dock or menu bar. The panel's available height, vertical centering,
and horizontal position were computed fromNSScreen.frame(the full
physical display bounds) instead ofNSScreen.visibleFrame(the area
actually free of the menu bar and Dock), so on screens where the deck
had more cards than fit, its last tiles could be positioned off the
usable screen — with no way to scroll them into view, since the
height budget was computed against the same oversized bounds. Now uses
visibleFramethroughout, so the "+" tile and footer always land
within the visible screen and the card area scrolls whenever it
actually needs to. - About screen credit updated to "edgo.app.br" instead of "EDGO".
ManuNotes 0.6.2
Changed
- Deck footer restyled. The "ManuNotes" label below the "+" tile now
sits inside a solid rounded-rect (same width and corner radius as the
"+" tile above it) instead of bare text, so it reads as a footer
rather than another dashed, actionable slot in the stack.
Fixed
- A note with a mismatched encryption key made every other note
disappear.loadAll()decoded every note in a singletry, so one
record that failed to decrypt (e.g. after a Keychain item was lost —
a device restore, a corrupted item) silently emptied the whole list
instead of just that one note. Bad records are now skipped
individually and logged, and both the load and save paths now log
failures instead of swallowing them withtry?— this class of bug
was completely silent before. Shared with iOS viaManuNotesCore.
ManuNotes 0.6.1
Fixed
- Update checker was silently finding nothing.
ManuNotes-releases
hosts both platforms' releases, and/releases/latestreturns
whichever one was published most recently regardless of platform — so
once an iOS release ("ios-v*" tag) went out after a macOS one, the
checker's/releases/latestcall resolved to the iOS release, which
has no.dmgasset, and it gave up without telling anyone. Now lists
every release and picks the newest one whose tag isn't "ios-v*"
(iOS'sUpdateCheckeralready had to apply this same fix for the
same reason).
ManuNotes 0.6.0
Added
- Per-card export in the deck: right-click a card (either layout) for
a Markdown/Plain Text/Sticky Archive submenu that exports just that
note, named after its title — matching the per-note export already on
iOS. - Scroll hint tile. When there are more notes than fit on screen, a
dashed tile with a down-chevron appears above the "+" tile to signal
that the card area actually scrolls. - About window. A fixed "ManuNotes" label below the "+" tile (outside
the scrolling area) opens a small About window with the app icon,
name, developer credit, and version/build.
Fixed
- Cmd+C/Cmd+X/Cmd+V/Cmd+A now work in the note editor. This is an
accessory app with no visible menu bar, so AppKit never installed the
standard Edit menu that routes those key equivalents to the focused
text view — a hidden Edit menu is now installed at launch to register
them.
ManuNotes 0.5.0
Added
- Landscape post-it deck layout. The deck's notes can now render as
wide, short cards (title + body preview + chevron), overlapping like a
pad of post-its, matching the shape of ManuNotes for iOS's stacked
layout — a new button in the pill, between the add and quit buttons,
toggles it against the classic narrow tab fan. The choice persists and
applies to every screen.
Changed
- The deck scrolls now. Both layouts render inside a
ScrollView
instead of capping at 8 visible notes with a separate "+N more"
popover, which is gone along with the 8-note cap. - The deck sizes to its content and centers on the screen, the same
way the pill already does, instead of always spanning the full screen
height with notes pinned to the top. It only reaches from edge to edge
once there are enough notes to actually need that much room.
ManuNotes for iOS 0.3.2
Simulator-only build. This does not install on a physical iPhone — that needs a paid Apple Developer Program enrollment (ad-hoc export or TestFlight), not yet active for this project. Unzip and drag ManuNotes.app onto a running iOS Simulator window, or xcrun simctl install <device> ManuNotes.app.
Changed
- About screen credit updated to "edgo.app.br" instead of "EDGO".
ManuNotes for iOS 0.3.1
Simulator-only build. This does not install on a physical iPhone — that needs a paid Apple Developer Program enrollment (ad-hoc export or TestFlight), not yet active for this project. Unzip and drag ManuNotes.app onto a running iOS Simulator window, or xcrun simctl install <device> ManuNotes.app.
Changed
- "Sobre" moved out of the export/import menu. It's now its own
tappable button in the header — the app's icon, the same size as the
export and search buttons next to it — instead of an item buried
inside the export menu.
Fixed
- A note with a mismatched encryption key made every other note
disappear.loadAll()decoded every note in a singletry, so one

instead of just that one note. Bad records are now skipped

ManuNotes for iOS 0.3.0
Simulator-only build. This does not install on a physical iPhone — that needs a paid Apple Developer Program enrollment (ad-hoc export or TestFlight), not yet active for this project. Unzip and drag ManuNotes.app onto a running iOS Simulator window, or xcrun simctl install <device> ManuNotes.app.
Added
- Per-note export. Both the note editor's menu and the notes list's
card context menu now offer Markdown/Plain Text/Sticky Archive export
for a single note, named after its title instead of the bulk export's
generic "Notes.md". - About screen, reachable from the export/import menu: app icon,
name, developer credit, and version/build.
ManuNotes for iOS 0.2.0
Simulator-only build. This does not install on a physical iPhone — that needs a paid Apple Developer Program enrollment (ad-hoc export or TestFlight), not yet active for this project. Unzip and drag ManuNotes.app onto a running iOS Simulator window, or xcrun simctl install <device> ManuNotes.app.
Added
- Redesigned notes list. A custom header (weekday, active-note count,
search) replaces the system navigation bar, with filter chips for
All/Favorites/Pinned/Archived and a floating bottom menu
(Notes/Favorites/New/Archived/Search) that the list scrolls behind. - Two card layouts.
.stacked(new default) shows notes as full-width
overlapping post-its with a colored border per note so same-color notes
stay distinct when stacked;.classickeeps today's pastel grid. A
toggle in the header switches between them and remembers the choice. - Update checker. Compares the running build against the latest
ios-v*tagged release on GitHub (this app's actual distribution
channel until it's on the App Store) and shows a dismissible banner
when a newer one exists, plus a manual "Check for Updates" entry and
the current version/build number in the export/import menu. - The current version now appears below the wordmark on the launch splash.
Fixed
- The update checker was comparing against the shared
ManuNotes-releases
repo's/releases/latest, which also hosts macOS's releases (tagged
vX.Y.Z, noios-prefix) — it now only considersios-v*tags.
