Taskora v1.0.1
Taskora v1.0.1 — desktop installers (dmg / NSIS exe / AppImage) for this tag, plus the signed Android APK attached by android-release.yml. The desktop builds are unsigned — see the README for Gatekeeper / SmartScreen instructions.
Taskora v1.0.0
✨ New
Desktop multi-window (#217) — open projects, areas or tags in a new window, each with its own navigation and assistant panel. Edits appear in every window. Use the new-window button or a row's Open in New Window menu; closing an extra window leaves the main one running.
Updates follow your server (#218) — desktop downloads the matching update in the background and offers to restart; Android opens the matching APK download page. Both check automatically, with a manual check in Settings → About. Upgrade your server first: clients only update to the version it runs.
Magic Plus on mobile (#207) — drag the add button to create a task exactly where you want it, including a specific day in Upcoming. In a project, drag to the left edge to create a heading; on the home screen, drag into an area to create a project there.
More mobile gestures (#208) — swipe a task right to choose its planned date, or drag selected tasks together. Android also adds shake-to-undo with a confirmation prompt, and haptic feedback for swipes, drags and undo.
Move a heading and its tasks to another project (#212) — choose Move from the heading menu. The whole section moves together to the end of the destination project.
Hide Later Items (#219) — hide Someday and future-planned tasks in a project or area, and later projects in the Move picker. Each list remembers its choice across devices; Quick Find reveals a hidden item when you open it.
⚡ Improved
- Tasks planned for today or earlier also appear in Anytime, and clearing a planned date puts a task in Anytime (#210)
- Rows animate into and out of lists, and sidebar areas and completed-task sections expand and collapse smoothly (#211)
🐛 Fixed
- Editing a project heading places the cursor at the end (#209)
- Quick Add no longer flashes when its window is reused (#213)
- Completed tasks appear before archived headings in a project's completed section, with each group ordered newest first (#214)
- Collapsing a section no longer flashes its contents at the end of the animation (#215)
- Outdated reminder notifications are withdrawn on Windows, Linux and Android when a task is completed, rescheduled or has its reminder cleared. Notifications arriving too late are also dropped (#216)
Upgrading — sync protocol 7 requires both the server and clients to be upgraded to 1.0.0. Older clients cannot sync with a 1.0.0 server, and 1.0.0 clients pause syncing with older servers.
Full Changelog: v0.9.0...v1.0.0
Unsigned builds — macOS: right-click → Open. Windows: More info → Run anyway. Android: signed APK, sideloaded — see the README.
Taskora v0.9.0
✨ New
Choose when completed items enter the Logbook (#202) — Settings now offers Immediately, Daily or Manually. With Daily or Manually, completed tasks and projects can stay crossed out in their lists until they're logged. Log Completed moves them to the Logbook whenever you're ready, and can be undone.
Calendar subscriptions (#204) — paste an iCal / ICS link in Settings to show events beside your tasks in Today, Upcoming and Calendar. Calendars can be named, coloured and temporarily hidden; events are read-only.
More lists in Quick Find, and heading search (#203) — search for Tomorrow, Repeating, All Projects or Logged Projects to open lists that stay out of the sidebar. Search for a project heading to jump straight to it.
More keyboard actions (#200) — change dates, move and reorder tasks, navigate lists, and create headings or subtasks without reaching for the mouse. Copy and paste tasks and projects between lists, or paste plain text to create tasks. The new bindings can be changed in Settings.
⚡ Improved
- An expanded task stays in place while you edit it, even if its new date or placement would move it elsewhere. It moves when you collapse it (#205)
- Upcoming's month groups stay in date order, with manual reordering available among tasks on the same day (#206)
🐛 Fixed
- Bottom-bar animations no longer make the whole desktop window scroll, and list width stays steady as content grows (#201)

Taskora v0.8.1
✨ New
Duplicate tasks and projects (#185) — use Duplicate or ⌘D / Ctrl+D to make an unfinished copy beside the original, keeping its dates, tags and attachments. A copied project includes its headings, tasks and subtasks; several selected tasks can be copied together.
A toolbar for the task you're editing (#188) — expanding a task brings up Move / Delete / More at the bottom, with repeat, duplicate and convert-to-project actions close at hand. On mobile, it takes the place of the add button.
Deadlines in Today, and a Deadlines list (#199) — tasks and projects with a deadline today or earlier now appear in Today, even if they're planned for later. Find Deadlines through Quick Find to see everything with a deadline, earliest first. Repeating tasks also carry their deadlines forward to the next occurrence.
⚡ Improved
- "New in Today" stays until you acknowledge it — new arrivals keep their usual position with a yellow dot. Use the banner's OK button to clear all markers, or open, edit or drag an item to acknowledge it individually; this syncs across devices (#197)
- Startup and navigation are faster, with smaller initial downloads and pages prepared before you open them (#190, #192)
- Project and area headers show tag names and clearer date badges. Review dates use blue, while red is reserved for deadlines (#186)
- Completed tasks and archived headings are sorted by completion or archive time, newest first (#187)
- Android Quick Add uses the same task card as desktop, with the same field pickers (#193)
- Mobile item menus open as bottom sheets, with larger touch targets (#194)
- The desktop window has a unified top edge, with the sidebar and assistant backgrounds extending behind the window controls (#198)
- The README has new screenshots and simpler download and self-hosting instructions (#189)
🐛 Fixed
- Android builds no longer fail because attachment providers conflict (#184)
- Today's new-arrival markers refresh after midnight, a time-zone change or returning to the app (#191)
- The mobile review toolbar fits on narrow screens (#195)
- The Android launcher icon is sized correctly inside its mask (#196)

Taskora v0.8.0
✨ New
Task attachments (#172) — add files from the paperclip button or drag them into an expanded task. Images open in a preview; other files open in their usual app. Attachments sync across devices, can be added offline, and carry over to the next occurrence of a repeating task or project.
Scheduled reviews (#178) — projects and areas now have a review interval and next review date. Open Review to work through everything that's due, edit it in place, then mark it reviewed or defer it. New projects default to weekly reviews and areas to monthly; both defaults can be changed in Settings.
Move projects between areas (#177) — the project menu gained Move, with the same searchable picker used for tasks. Choose an area or move the project out of its current one.
Create projects and areas from the mobile home screen (#173) — the floating add button now offers a task, project or area.
⚡ Improved
- Sidebar Drop accepts Upcoming and Anytime — drop onto Upcoming to choose a date, or Anytime to clear the plan (#182)
- Later projects can be dragged to the sidebar, and Someday projects can be reordered within their section (#180)
- Deleting an area asks for confirmation and sends its projects and tasks to Trash. They can be put back without an area (#176, #181)
- Project progress updates as soon as you complete or reopen a task (#174)
- Chinese labels are more consistent, including “某天” for Someday (#171, #179)
- Toasts use quieter backgrounds and clearer status icons (#169)
🐛 Fixed
- New tasks stay at the end of the list, including after saving (#170)
- Typing in an inline title editor no longer opens Quick Find and steals focus (#175)
- Selected project headings keep their rounded corners (#183)
Self-hosting — attachments are stored in the new blobs volume. Back it up alongside pgdata.

Taskora v0.7.6
✨ New
Nested tags, and #tag in Quick Find (#158) — tags can now contain other tags. Filtering by a parent includes everything under it, and the Tags page lets you drag to reorder or nest them. Type # in Quick Find to add tag filters; existing tag groups become parent tags automatically.
Desktop multi-select and group drag (#168) — ⌘/Ctrl+click selects individual tasks, and ⇧+click selects a range. Drag or right-click any selected task to act on the whole group, or drop tasks and projects onto the sidebar to move, schedule, complete or delete them.
Custom keybindings (#161) — Settings gained a Shortcuts panel. Click a binding and press the keys you want, including a new global Quick Add hotkey on desktop. Bindings are saved per device.
Drag to reschedule in Upcoming (#163) — drop a task onto another day or month to change its planned date. With several tasks selected, the whole group moves together.
"New in Today" markers (#164) — tasks and projects that arrive by date since you last looked at Today appear at the top with a yellow dot. Opening Today acknowledges them; the markers stay for that visit and disappear next time.
A project or area link on expanded tasks (#166) — the bottom right of an expanded task shows where it belongs. Click to go there or change its placement.
⚡ Improved
- Group headers show project progress rings and area icons, with links highlighted on hover or keyboard focus (#167)
- Notes have tighter paragraph spacing, so they read like paragraphs instead of separate blocks (#165)
🐛 Fixed
- Selecting text in an expanded task no longer drags the row (#159)
- The tray menu and Quick Add no longer have grey rectangles behind them (#160)
- Android status and navigation bars follow the app's theme, including a manually chosen light or dark mode (#162)
Upgrading — this release requires sync protocol 5. Older clients must be upgraded to sync with a server running 0.7.6.
Full Changelog: v0.7.5...v0.7.6
Unsigned builds — macOS: right-click → Open. Windows: More info → Run anyway. Android: signed APK, sideloaded — see the README.
Taskora v0.7.5
✨ New
Repeating projects (#157) — a project can now repeat. Completing one creates the next round with its headings, tasks and subtasks intact and unfinished, and every date shifted by the same amount. You're asked whether to complete or cancel whatever is left over, and "skip this occurrence" moves the whole list forward without creating a new project.
Natural-language dates (#155) — type "next friday", "in 2 weeks", "下周五 9点" or "月底" into the When or Deadline picker and pick from the matches. Chinese and English both work regardless of the interface language.
⚡ Improved
- The desktop sidebar is resizable and collapsible — drag the right edge, drag past it to collapse, pull it back out from the window edge (#153)
- The assistant panel docks instead of floating over your list, and the sidebar steps aside when the window is too narrow for all three (#154)
- The tray menu is themed and translated on Windows and macOS instead of using the system menu (#152)
- Upcoming's month groups show the planned date on each row (#156)
🐛 Fixed
- Android status-bar icons follow the app's theme, including a manually chosen light or dark mode (#151)

Unsigned builds — macOS: right-click → Open. Windows: More info → Run anyway. Android: signed APK, sideloaded — see the README.
Taskora v0.7.4
✨ New
Quick Add is now a draft card (#147) — the desktop popover and the Android status-bar overlay let you set a note, planned date, tags and destination before creating, with "add and keep going" for several in a row. On Android, "continue in the app" hands the deadline, reminder and subtasks back to Taskora.
A dockable assistant panel (#145) — the assistant opens in a 360 px panel beside your list (⌘J) instead of taking over the screen, and shares its conversation with the full-screen /agent view, so switching between the two mid-answer doesn't interrupt it.
Skip occurrence from the multi-select toolbar (#149) — the action was previously only in the right-click menu.
⚡ Improved
- Trash rows look and behave like normal rows (#146) — checkbox, dates, tags, notes, subtasks and expansion all work, and restoring is now "Put Back" in the menu. A task keeps its completed or cancelled state when it comes back, and it returns to Logbook or to its old view accordingly.
- Assistant replies are grouped by turn (#144) — tool calls and process steps collapse into one summary line such as "changed 2 things".
🐛 Fixed
- Upgrading from 0.7.1 / 0.7.2 could get permanently stuck (#142) — a migration added in 0.7.2 failed on databases that already had data and left the backend unable to start with P3009. The migration is repaired, the backend now recovers the known failure by itself, and CI smoke-tests real upgrades from both versions.
- Android safe areas — content no longer sits under the status bar or gesture bar on devices whose WebView reports zero insets (#150)
- The multi-select toolbar no longer overlaps Android's gesture bar (#148)
- The notes editor shows a text cursor instead of a pointer (#143)

Unsigned builds — macOS: right-click → Open. Windows: More info → Run anyway. Android: signed APK, sideloaded — see the README.
Taskora v0.7.3
✨ New
An Action Sheet for touch (#141) — on phones the multi-select toolbar is now a floating pill in the corner with Plan / Move / Delete / Done, and everything else moved into an iOS-style bottom sheet.
Tapping Android's persistent notification opens Today (#136) — it used to do nothing at all.
A proper Chinese font on Windows (#137) — Noto Sans SC is bundled and self-hosted, split by unicode-range so other platforms download nothing at all.
⚡ Improved
- Pull-to-refresh is gone — the gesture now belongs to Quick Find, and syncing is already automatic (#139)
- The sync badge only appears when something is wrong — offline (with a pending count) or needing an upgrade (#140)
🐛 Fixed
- Ordering now runs on a single Position key (#138) — dragging a project, area, tag group or subtask could land somewhere other than where you dropped it, because different screens sorted by different fields. Everything sorts by the same fractional position now, and the sync protocol went to 4: clients older than 0.7.3 are asked to upgrade rather than silently losing their reorders.
