Configuration

Open Mods > RPG Animations > Config. Most actions have individual switches, so you can keep the movements you like and disable others.

Waking and accessibility

  • Wake-up intro: disable first-entry playback and wake-up previews. This is not a master switch for every animation.
  • Reduced motion: keeps normal eye height and uses a single fade instead of camera movement and repeated blinks during the intro.
  • Bed animation: controls bed entry and exit presentation.
  • Pickup and drop: separate switches for those actions.

Disabling the intro during playback ends it. Skipping or disabling a first-entry intro does not make it automatically replay next time.

Animation categories

Basic actions, contextual gestures and RPG details have separate controls. Walking, running and eating can also be toggled. Use the relevant action's switch when you want to remove one movement without disabling unrelated features.

Per-action priority

Setting Behaviour
AUTO Uses the documented overlap profile and live Better Combat attack state. Recommended starting point.
RPG Prefers RPG Animations for that action.
PUNCHY Yields first-person presentation to Punchy when installed.
BETTER_COMBAT Yields both views to Better Combat when installed.

Missing selected mods fall back to RPG Animations. Compatibility master switches still apply. Priority controls do not create an animation in another mod if it has none for that action.

Leave additional animation owners empty for selective per-action control. Adding a mod ID there makes RPG Animations yield all player poses and first-person presentation when that mod is installed.

Activity and previews

Sharing your activity and displaying other players' activity are separate settings. Inventory image sharing is off by default. See Multiplayer and Privacy before enabling it.

The default idle threshold is 300 seconds, or five minutes. The default activity display distance is 24 blocks.

Server controls

Server settings can disable basic actions, contextual animations, activity sharing and inventory previews. Client consent is still required when a server allows previews. Generic mounting on unrecognised creatures is disabled by default to avoid interfering with custom mounts.
