Troubleshooting
- For Minecraft 26.3, use NeoForge 26.3.0.76 and Java 25.
- For Minecraft 1.21.1, use NeoForge 21.1.259 and Java 21.
- Confirm the JAR filename matches your Minecraft version. See Installation.
- Keep only one RPG Animations JAR in the instance's
modsfolder. - Check optional mods for their own required dependencies and supported versions.
- Include the relevant
logs/latest.logand crash report when reporting the problem.
Test changes in a separate instance and disposable world. Do not remove content mods from an important world just to diagnose an animation problem.
Check the individual animation toggle and server controls. Another mod may own that action under the current priority setting. Try RPG for that action in a test instance to compare, then restore your preferred setting.
Automatic inspections remember recorded item-type discoveries, so inspecting the same item type again may not trigger another automatic inspection.
Use /rpganimation preview in client chat while in a world. Confirm the wake-up intro is enabled. Use /rpganimation skip to end it.
Check the sender's sharing consent, server permission and observer's display settings. Being able to see other players' previews does not mean you are sharing yours. Follow the checklist in Multiplayer and Privacy.
Record the action, held item, camera perspective and installed animation mods. Check per-action priority rather than disabling all RPG animations. Include a short video showing the start and recovery of the movement if possible.
A refused connection can mean the server is not listening at that address. A timeout can involve the address, network or firewall. A whitelist message means the server rejected that player account. These messages alone do not establish an RPG Animations fault; check the server log and connection details first.
Open a bug report with:
- Minecraft, NeoForge and RPG Animations versions.
- Other installed mods and relevant config settings.
- Steps to reproduce and the expected result.
- Singleplayer or multiplayer, plus first-person or observer perspective.
- Relevant logs and optional screenshots or video.
Remove private information before uploading logs.
