Boar 0.7.1

Boar is a video editor with a multitrack timeline and AI that runs on your PC. This version opens projects straight from the file manager and turns the shortcut list into an interactive keyboard map.

Alpha. It is already good for real editing, but it is young: save often and report what goes wrong.

New in 0.7.1

• Double-click a project to open it. .boar files now belong to Boar (Windows, macOS and the .deb package): a double click, Open with or dropping the file on the app icon opens the project, not an empty editor. With Boar already open, the project opens in that window, after asking about unsaved changes. Dropping a .boar file on the timeline or on Project Media opens it too.
• Keyboard Shortcuts window. F1, the new keyboard button in the toolbar or Help › Keyboard Shortcuts opens every shortcut on a keyboard map. Hold Ctrl, Shift or Alt (or click them) to see what they do with each key, point at a key to read its action, and search or browse the list by group, with the mouse gestures at the end. The window can stay open while you edit: every shortcut keeps working and the ones you press light up with their name.

With Boar 0.4.0 or newer installed, the update arrives by itself at the next start (or Help › Check for Updates). The installers are not signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen and macOS warn the first time: the README explains how to continue.

Boar è un editor video con timeline multitraccia e AI che gira sul tuo PC. Questa versione apre i progetti direttamente dal file manager e trasforma l'elenco delle scorciatoie in una mappa interattiva della tastiera.

Alpha. Si usa già per montare davvero, ma è giovane: salva spesso e segnala quello che non va.

Novità in 0.7.1

• Doppio clic su un progetto per aprirlo. I file .boar ora sono associati a Boar (Windows, macOS e pacchetto .deb): un doppio clic, Apri con o il file trascinato sull'icona dell'app aprono il progetto, non un editor vuoto. Se Boar è già aperto, il progetto si apre in quella finestra, dopo aver chiesto delle modifiche non salvate. Anche un file .boar trascinato sulla timeline o su Project Media apre il progetto.
• Finestra delle scorciatoie. F1, il nuovo pulsante con la tastiera nella toolbar o Help › Keyboard Shortcuts mostrano tutte le scorciatoie su una mappa della tastiera. Tieni premuto Ctrl, Shift o Alt (o cliccali) per vedere cosa fanno con ogni tasto, passa il mouse su un tasto per leggerne l'azione, e cerca o sfoglia l'elenco per gruppi, con i gesti del mouse in fondo. La finestra può restare aperta mentre monti: tutte le scorciatoie continuano a funzionare e quelle che premi si illuminano con il loro nome.
