Boar is a video editor with a multitrack timeline and AI that runs on your PC. This version answers the first round of feedback from people editing with it: captions that follow the edit, Auto Ripple when you drag, real control over keyframes, masks that move with the picture, a timeline that scrolls while you drag, and images dragged from the web that stay in the project.

Alpha. It is already good for real editing, but it is young: save often and report what goes wrong.

New in 0.7.4

  • Captions follow the edit. Generate captions first, then cut silences, trim, move or delete clips: each caption moves with its words, loses the words you cut out, splits when its words end up apart and goes away with the last one. A caption you nudged keeps its nudge, and one Ctrl+Z undoes the edit and the captions together. Options › Captions Follow Clip Edits (on by default) turns it off. It works with captions made from now on: generate older ones again once.
  • Auto Ripple when you drag. With Auto Ripple on, moving an event moves what comes after it, and dragging an edge to shorten or lengthen an event pulls or pushes the rest (trimming the start keeps the event in place). Markers follow with the tracks and markers and all modes.
  • Keyframes under control. On the keyframe bar of Event Pan/Crop and Event Mask: click a keyframe to select it, Ctrl+click for more, Shift+click for a range; drag to move them; Delete removes them; Ctrl+C / Ctrl+X / Ctrl+V copy, cut and paste them at the cursor, also into another event; Ctrl+A selects them all.
  • Masks move with the picture. A new ellipse or rectangle mask is part of the image: move, zoom or turn it with Pan/Crop (or the preview handles) and the masked part goes along, instead of sliding under a fixed window. The Mask window can switch back (Moves with the picture), projects made before keep their look, and the Pan/Crop window shows the mask outline.
  • The timeline scrolls while you drag. Near the left or right edge (or past it) the timeline scrolls: events, edges, the ruler, media from Project Media and files from the file manager. Near the top or bottom it scrolls the tracks.
  • Wheel zoom around the cursor. The mouse wheel zooms around the playback cursor, at the mouse when the cursor is out of view.
  • Track height from the keyboard. Ctrl+Shift++ / Ctrl+Shift+- make every track taller or shorter (also in View).
  • Interface size. Ctrl++, Ctrl+- and Ctrl+0, or View › Bigger / Smaller Interface: menus, panels and timeline grow or shrink together, and Boar remembers the size.

Fixed

  • Images dragged from a web page vanished after closing the project: they were kept only in memory. They are now saved in Boar's media folder like pasted images. Images lost this way come back if you drag the same image into Project Media again: Boar recognizes it (same name and size) and your edits on the timeline are kept.
  • Left and right arrows while playing moved by a single frame, too little to notice. They now jump 5 seconds back or forward while playing and keep stepping one frame when stopped; Shift+← / Shift+→ move one second. After using a drop-down list or a slider with the mouse, the keyboard goes back to the shortcuts instead of changing that control.
  • Word timings are now taken from the speech parts the engine finds: words land where they are said, also after long pauses.

For AI agents (MCP)

  • set_mask has follow_picture (default on): the ellipse or rectangle becomes part of the picture and moves with its Pan/Crop.

Italiano

Novità in 0.7.4

I marker seguono nelle modalità tracks and markers e all.
  • Keyframe sotto controllo.
  • Dimensione dell'interfaccia. Ctrl++, Ctrl+- e Ctrl+0, oppure View › Bigger / Smaller Interface: menu, pannelli e timeline crescono o rimpiccioliscono insieme, e Boar ricorda la dimensione.

Corretto
