Getting Started

Goal: install, run first enhancement, find your files.

1. Install

1. Download the latest release ZIP from GitHub Releases.
2. Unzip it anywhere (e.g. Desktop\DLSS5).
3. Double-click start.bat.

No install, no admin needed. Keep the bin/ folder with the app.

Advanced: portable / update tips

• To update: unzip new version to a new folder, then copy your old config/config.ini over if you want to keep settings.
• To reset everything: delete config/config.ini and restart — defaults return.
• Don't rename files inside bin/runtime/ — the app expects them in place.

2. First run

1. Wait for the browser window to open automatically.
2. Pick a tab: Image, Video, or Frame Interpolation.
3. Drop in one small file first to learn.
4. Press Render / Interpolate. Leave defaults on.
5. When Status says Complete, check the right side — single files show a preview player, batches list files + results table.

Takes longer the first time — that's normal.

3. Where are my files?

Folder	What's inside
outputs/	Finished images / videos. This is what you keep.
logs/	Per-file report + batch list. Check here on failure.
jobs/	Temporary data while rendering. Ignore it.
config/	Your saved choices. Back this up if you care.

The app never overwrites an existing output — it creates a new name instead.
