Releases: Micropeptide/DockAnchor
Release list
DockAnchor v1.0.1
Bug fix release.
Fixed: a serious bug where, on setups with a screen stacked directly beneath another (e.g. a laptop's built-in display positioned below an external monitor, sharing the same horizontal range), the entire lower screen could get misread as "past the upper screen's bottom edge" — causing the pointer to be yanked back on nearly every move/drag there. If you have a 3-display (or any stacked) setup, this fix matters.
No other changes since v1.0.0.
Install
Same as before — download the .dmg, drag to Applications, right-click → Open the first time, grant Accessibility permission.
Upgrading from v1.0.0
Rebuilding/redownloading changes the app's code signature, so macOS will drop the previous Accessibility grant. After installing v1.0.1, re-enable DockAnchor in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
DockAnchor v1.0.0
First release.
- Pin the Dock to a chosen display when using multiple monitors.
- Remembers your anchor choice per combination of connected displays (e.g. separate preferences for a home setup vs. an office setup).
- Menu-bar only, no Dock icon of its own.
- Optional login item.
- Background update check (weekly/monthly/never) against GitHub Releases — never auto-downloads or auto-installs, just links you to the new release.
Install
- Download
DockAnchor-1.0.0.zipbelow, unzip, moveDockAnchor.appto/Applications. - Right-click → Open the first time (unsigned build, so Gatekeeper needs that one-time override).
- Grant Accessibility permission when prompted.
- Pick your anchor display from the menu bar icon.
See the README for details on how it works.
