Choose a tag to compare

@MidCheck MidCheck released this 01 Apr 17:39

What's New in v0.2.1

Monaco Editor — Full VS Code Editing Experience

Replaced CodeMirror with Monaco Editor, the same editor engine that powers VS Code.

  • IntelliSense: JS/TS auto-completion, type hints, parameter info (built-in)
  • Minimap: code overview on the right side
  • Multi-cursor editing: Alt+Click to add cursors
  • Bracket pair colorization & indent guides
  • Code folding for all languages
  • Right-click menu: Go to Definition (F12), Peek Definition (Alt+F12), Find All References (Shift+F12), Rename Symbol (F2), Command
    Palette (F1)

Python LSP (Pyright)

Full Language Server Protocol integration for Python:

  • One-click install: Sidebar → Language Servers → Install (downloads pyright automatically)
  • Offline import: Import .tgz or local directory for air-gapped environments
  • Go to Definition (F12): Jump to function/class definitions across files
  • Find All References (Shift+F12): Find all usages of a symbol
  • Hover info: See function signatures and type annotations
  • Auto-completion: Context-aware completions from pyright
  • Diagnostics: Red squiggly underlines for type errors and import issues
  • Signature help: Parameter hints when typing function calls

IntelliSense for More Languages

Keyword + snippet completions for:

  • Python: 35 keywords, 60+ builtins, 30+ modules, 11 snippets (def, class, try, async_def...)
  • Shell/Bash: 26 keywords, 60+ commands, 7 snippets (if, for, function, shebang...)
  • C/C++: 50+ keywords, 50+ stdlib functions, 13 snippets (main, class, foreach, lambda...)
  • Markdown: 15 snippets (headings, table, codeblock, link, checkbox...)

Git Diff Peek — Click to Compare

Click any gutter marker (green/blue/red) to see an inline diff overlay:

  • Shows old lines (red -) and new lines (green +) side by side
  • ↩ Revert button to undo a single change
  • Correctly handles: added lines, modified lines, deleted lines, multi-line changes
  • Fix: revert no longer leaves residual empty lines

Bug Fixes

  • Cursor position preserved when switching Terminal ↔ Editor layers
  • Files auto-reload when modified externally (by CLI agent) on layer switch
  • Terminal PTY survives layout drag changes (no more session loss)
  • Diff peek: switching between multiple markers works correctly
  • Diff peek: Revert/Close buttons are clickable (fixed Monaco overlay blocking)

v0.2.0 - VS Code-style Git Integration & Flexible Terminal Layout

Choose a tag to compare

@MidCheck MidCheck released this 29 Mar 18:43

What's New in v0.2.0

Git Integration (VS Code-style)

Gutter Decorations

  • 🟢 Green bar — new lines added
  • 🔵 Blue bar — lines modified
  • 🔺 Red triangle — lines deleted (correctly positioned at deletion point)

Inline Diff Peek

  • Click any gutter marker to see a diff popup showing old (red) and new (green) lines
  • ↩ Revert button to undo a single change without affecting other edits
  • Uses LCS-based diff algorithm for accurate insert/delete/modify detection
  • Diff markers update live as you type (300ms debounce)

Merge Conflict Support

  • Auto-detects <<<<<<< ======= >>>>>>> conflict markers
  • Inline actions: Accept Current | Accept Incoming | Accept Both | Compare
  • Conflict regions highlighted (green = current, blue = incoming)
  • Three-way Merge Editor: Current (left) | Incoming (right) | Result (bottom)
    • Per-conflict accept buttons (Current / Incoming / Both / Ignore)
    • Conflict counter tracks remaining unresolved conflicts
    • "Complete Merge" saves result and closes editor

Flexible Terminal Layout

  • Drag terminal headers to any edge (left/right/top/bottom) to create splits
  • Draggable dividers to resize terminal panes
  • Right-click terminal header → Restart Shell / Clear
  • No terminal count limit (was previously capped at 3)
  • Terminal sessions survive layout changes (PTY preserved during drag reorder)

Editor Improvements

  • Multi-instance editing: open the same file in multiple split panes for side-by-side comparison
    • Right-click tab → "Open in Split Right"
    • Content syncs in real-time between instances
  • Drag files from sidebar directly into editor area or edges to create splits
  • Ctrl+F / Cmd+F search and replace (CodeMirror search extension)
  • File auto-refresh when modified externally (e.g., by AI agent CLI)
  • Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+`` toggle layers, Ctrl+Tab/Ctrl+1-9` switch terminals

Bug Fixes

  • Tab drag no longer inserts JSON text into the editor
  • File switching no longer shows residual content from previous file
  • Diff gutter marks correctly handle insertions, deletions, and modifications
  • Red triangle positioned correctly for start/middle/end-of-file deletions
  • Terminal panes no longer share PTY output after layout drag operations
  • Pinia IPC sync uses full JSON serialization (fixes Electron structured clone errors)
