Release list
As Driven 0.23.0
As Driven 0.23.0
As Driven tells a sim racer which physical controls to fit and how to shift
authentically. This release includes SimHub client 0.23.0 and a
known-good copy of dataset 0.8.0 with 337 reviewed
car records.
What you'll notice
- Gearbox construction on the FIT line. Synchromesh and dog-box cars now
say so - "5-speed H-pattern (dog)" - since that is what decides whether a
downshift needs a blip. A new collapsed glossary on the settings page's Car
browser tab explains the terms. - An asterisk for an inferred construction. Where the construction was not
stated outright by a source, the card marks it "(dog*)" instead of stating
it as fact. - The public catalog agrees with the card. The catalog page's shifter line
now names the same construction the in-sim card does.
The database-only package delivers the confidence marker's data. Install the
full plugin ZIP for the FIT card and settings-page changes.
Install
- Download
As-Driven-for-SimHub-0.23.0.zipbelow. - Extract the ZIP.
- Close SimHub.
- Double-click
Install As Driven.cmdand approve the Windows prompt. - Start SimHub and enable As Driven under Settings > Plugins.
The installer backs up an existing installation and preserves customized
overlay positions by default. See START HERE.txt inside the ZIP for the full
short guide.
Tested against
- SimHub 9.12.6
- Automobilista 2 1.6.9.95
- Windows
Newer versions generally work but have not been verified. The other simulators
in the dataset carry reviewed entries rather than complete rosters.
What Windows will warn you about
Expect two warnings, and neither means something is wrong. The administrator
prompt names an unknown publisher, because a signing certificate is a paid
annual subscription for a free project. Windows may also block the downloaded
ZIP: right-click it, open Properties, tick Unblock, and extract it again.
A .sha256 file is attached beside each ZIP. Comparing it is worth more than a
signature would be, because it tells you the bytes are the published ones.
The database package
as-driven-db-0.8.0.zip is the curated dataset on its own, for clients that are
not SimHub. You do not need it to install or update the plugin: the ZIP above
already carries this dataset.

As Driven 0.22.3
As Driven 0.22.3
As Driven tells a sim racer which physical controls to fit and how to shift
authentically. This release includes SimHub client 0.22.3 and a
known-good copy of dataset 0.7.0 with 337 reviewed
car records.
What you'll notice
- Driver summaries worth reading. Most cars now tell you something about
the car itself: why it was built, what it won, or which real era a generic
class represents, instead of repeating the Fit and Use rows. - Technique where it matters. Useful notes stay, such as the MP4/4's
mirrored dogleg gate or a mod that shows the wrong shift pattern. - Sourced contributions. Researched contributions can now include a
summary that is checked and reviewed with the rest of the car. - Era themes for every dated car. Cars whose year is only in their label,
such as the PMR Javelin and Chaparral 2F, now get their automatic era theme. - Clear gate conflicts. Where a car's shifter evidence disagrees, the card
says "Gate conflict - needs review" instead of mixing H-pattern and
sequential instructions.
The database-only package delivers the new summaries. Install the full plugin
ZIP for the era-theme and gate-conflict fixes.

As Driven 0.22.2
As Driven 0.22.2
As Driven tells a sim racer which physical controls to fit and how to shift
authentically. This release includes SimHub client 0.22.2 and a
known-good copy of dataset 0.6.43 with 337 reviewed
car records.
What you'll notice
- PMR V8 Power Pack coverage. Reviewed entries cover the new Historic
USV8, USV8 and AUS V8 Evo cars, plus the Falcon and Commodore COTF.
The Gen3 Camaro AU and Mustang AU use the corrected closed D-shaped wheel guidance. - Exact matching for both Camaros. The plugin uses the reported class to
distinguish the historic and modern cars that both reportCamaro. - Easier installation. A folder picker finds custom SimHub installations;
installation failures remain visible and save diagnostic details. - Original Automobilista support. AMS1 now has a distinct contribution and
guided-drive path. The F301 is reviewed, with each simulator’s controls kept distinct.
Install the full plugin ZIP for class-aware matching; a database-only update
will not add this capability to older SimHub clients.

As Driven 0.22.1
As Driven 0.22.1
As Driven tells a sim racer which physical controls to fit and how to shift
authentically. This release includes SimHub client 0.22.1 and a
known-good copy of dataset 0.6.29 with 326 reviewed
car records.
What you'll notice
- More reviewed cars. New Assetto Corsa classics and Project Motor Racing
entries include the Ferrari F40, Ford GT40, Lotus 49 and BMW V12 LMR. - Establish round cockpit rims for the Ferrari 250 GTO and Mazda 787B from
reviewed real-car evidence. - Clearer guided shifts. Each clutch-free shift test now puts the clutch
instruction in its heading and shows both instruction lines on the overlay.
Shift detection accounts for a resting throttle offset, and unmeasured
automatic cut or blip results are clearly labeled. - Stronger contribution review. Completed research records a real-car
cockpit-photo review, and same-simulator corrections reach the review path.
Maintainers can prepare and promote an approved batch as one dataset patch.

As Driven 0.22.1 - Installer folder picker test
Installer test 2, based on As Driven 0.22.1 and dataset 0.6.29.
Extract the entire ZIP, close SimHub, and run Install As Driven.cmd. Approve the Windows administrator prompt.
If SimHub is not found in its default location, a folder picker now lets you select the existing folder containing SimHubWPF.exe. An invalid folder prompts you to choose again. Cancel stops before copying files. Editing the script is no longer necessary.
This includes the previous error-reporting improvement: installation errors remain visible and their details are saved to the path shown in the administrator window. Review the log before sharing, as it includes local installation paths.
This is a test build; the plugin still reports 0.22.1. The stable release and automatic-update endpoint are unchanged.
As Driven 0.22.1 - Installer diagnostic test
Installer diagnostic test based on As Driven 0.22.1 and dataset 0.6.29.
Download As-Driven-0.22.1-installer-test.zip below, extract the entire archive, close SimHub, and run Install As Driven.cmd. Approve the Windows administrator prompt.
If installation fails, the administrator window stays open and prints the location of an AsDriven-install-error-*.txt file. Please return that file with your report. Review it before sharing; it includes local installation paths.
This test clarifies the opening SimHub reminder and preserves the actual installation error. It is intended to diagnose the reported failure; the underlying cause is not yet confirmed. The plugin continues to report version 0.22.1.
Validation passed: 341 Python tests, 13,394 .NET assertions, SimHub build, and release-package checks including installation into a temporary test folder.
As Driven 0.22.0
As Driven 0.22.0
As Driven tells a sim racer which physical controls to fit and how to shift
authentically. This release includes SimHub client 0.22.0 and a
known-good copy of dataset 0.6.0 with 300 reviewed
car records.
What you'll notice
- Guidance where the real car was never researched. Gearbox architecture is
published everywhere; launch and shift technique almost nowhere. Rather than
answer "not established" and stop, As Driven can now say how cars of that
mechanism were usually driven - marked as convention, never as a finding
about your car. The first reviewed rule covers H-pattern cars whose gearbox
construction is unknown, and reaches 84 open fields across 42 cars. - It stays apart from evidence. The line says the real value is not
established before it says what such cars usually did, it is drawn in its own
colour on the pre-flight card and under its own heading in the catalog, and
it can neither change nor replace a value a record establishes. A car that
answers for itself is never spoken for. Your overlay does not move: the card
shares the note panel it already had. - Three more cars sourced from the real car. The gearbox architecture of
the McLaren F1 GTR Longtail, Cadillac DPi-V.R and Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R now
rests on published accounts of those cars rather than on one guided drive. - Better evidence behind the DBR9 and the C9. A period road test, an
exact-chassis interview and Aston Martin's own specification stand behind the
DBR9's clutch and cockpit rim; Daimler-credited photographs stand behind the
C9's rim. The answers do not change - what holds them up does. The database
now carries 300 reviewed car records.

As Driven 0.21.6
As Driven 0.21.6
As Driven tells a sim racer which physical controls to fit and how to shift
authentically. This release includes SimHub client 0.21.6 and a
known-good copy of dataset 0.5.78 with 300 reviewed
car records.
What you'll notice
- Nine more reviewed cars. The Jaguar XJR-9, Mazda 787B, Toyota GT-One,
Nissan R89C, Opel Calibra V6 DTM, Renault Laguna Super Touring, Porsche 944
Turbo Cup, Alpine A110 Cup and Panoz Esperante GTR-1 bring the independently
usable controls database to 300 reviewed records. - Four cars now say a control is not established. The BMW M3 E46 GTR and
TVR Tuscan T400R GT2 wheel rims, the Corvette C5-R downshift blip and the
Sauber C9 gate each rested on a single guided drive that a later simulator
read differently. A drive tells you what a simulator does, not what the real
car did, so those answers are withdrawn until real-car evidence settles them.
Each simulator's own reading is still shown. - A corrected Toyota GT-One cockpit rim. A submitted drive had recorded the
Automobilista 2 wheel as a control-panel rim; it is the open-top D-shape that
the real car and Project Motor Racing both show. - Clearer evidence behind every answer. Real-car facts and simulator
observations no longer share a claim, so a confidence earned by watching a
simulator cannot stand behind a statement about the real car.

As Driven 0.21.5
As Driven 0.21.5
As Driven tells a sim racer which physical controls to fit and how to shift
authentically. This release includes SimHub client 0.21.5 and a
known-good copy of dataset 0.5.65 with 291 reviewed
car records.
What you'll notice
- More reviewed cars and PMR coverage. Six newly curated cars and fifteen
Project Motor Racing observations expand the independently usable controls
database to 291 reviewed records. - Versioned guided observations. Contributions now require the exact game
build when telemetry cannot provide one, keeping simulator behavior
reproducible. - Safer release finalization. A release can retain the checked-in AMS2
coverage snapshot when optional local diagnostics are unavailable; coverage
never silently shrinks.

As Driven 0.21.4
As Driven 0.21.4
As Driven tells a sim racer which physical controls to fit and how to shift
authentically. This release includes SimHub client 0.21.4 and a
known-good copy of dataset 0.5.50 with 285 reviewed
car records.
What you'll notice
- A more readable public catalog. The new Pit wall design uses a navy
masthead, clearly alternating rows, larger driving instructions, and separate
hardware and technique headings. Light and dark themes both have stronger
row separation, including after filtering. - Clearer starts in nine H-pattern cars. The real-car guidance now says
Clutch required when pulling away instead of Not established. This
affects the Giulia Sprint GTA, BMW 3.0 CSL IMSA Group 4, Ferrari 250 GTO,
Ford GT40 Mk I, McLaren F1 GTR 1996, McLaren F1 LM, Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cup,
Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, and Ultima GTR. - Less clutter in car details. Repeated summaries are reduced, and the
website no longer labels identical simulator and real-car values as differences. - Clearer counts in SimHub. The car browser shows reviewed cars separately
from simulator views, so a car supported in two games is no longer counted as
two distinct cars.
Also includes reliability improvements. There are no new car records in this
update. See the exact affected cars and evidence.
