Superseded by Android preview 2. This build has mismatched object/monster identifiers, including gold displayed as "white gems". Use preview 2 for new games. Earlier saves are incompatible with the corrected tables; retain this older build if you need it for an existing game.
Experimental UnNetHack 6.0.15-dev for ARM64 Android devices (Android 6.0 / API 23 or newer).
Download UnNetHack-6.0.15-dev-arm64-debug.apk below. This is a debug-signed development build, not a production release.
The original working port was tested on a Samsung S22 Ultra, including save/load, pet hearts and classic STATUSCOLOR. This APK comes from the fresh reorganized-source build of 2026-09-14; it has passed build, JNI and APK-signature checks, but has not yet been tested on a device. Checkpoint recovery and wider compatibility need further testing.
The debug signing key differs from the earlier locally installed test build. If Android rejects an update because of the signing certificate, preserve your saves before replacing the old installation; uninstalling can delete app data.
Source and licensing
Matching game/build source: 0b9d99046. The publication commit changes documentation only relative to the source used for this APK. Source ZIP and tar.gz downloads are attached automatically to this release. Build steps are in BUILD-ANDROID.md; Lua 5.4.8 source is available from lua.org.
Third-party licensing clarification is still in progress, including ForkFront's overall license scope, some graphics/font redistribution details and dependency notices. See PUBLICATION-REVIEW.md. This publication does not resolve missing permissions or relicense third-party material. Available license texts, notices and dependency metadata are included in the APK under assets/licenses/ and in the source tree.
