Changes

  • Expand the C ABI with schema manifests, hierarchical semantic snapshots, and stable structural field addresses.
  • Add addressed semantic editing and minimal-change plugin patching while preserving untouched record bytes.
  • Preserve repeat-local union context and provenance, expose filtered string snapshots, and strengthen string-table editing safeguards.
  • Provide the native API required by bethkit.py 2.0.

Schema provenance and scope

Windows and Linux archives embed only the Skyrim Special Edition schema and include its standalone skyrim_se.bkschema file. The schema is supplied by xDump v0.1.0 and derives from xEdit version 4.1.5f, source commit f5c00f3fa3ee39511185515802647246c807f759. Schema coverage originates from xEdit; see SCHEMA.md for provenance, coverage, and limitations.
