Muro 2.0
Lock screen live wallpapers
Muro can now play a live wallpaper on your lock screen, not just the desktop.
Pick any wallpaper, choose Lockscreen or Both, and it plays behind your lock and login screen. It works per display or on all of them at once, and removing it puts your normal lock screen back.
The lock screen feature needs macOS 26 (Tahoe) or newer. The desktop live wallpaper still runs on macOS 14 and up, and stays as light on CPU and RAM as before.
Updating
Already have Muro? Download the DMG below and replace your copy in Applications. Muro also tells you when a new version is available from its Settings.
Installing
Muro is free and self signed rather than carrying a paid Apple certificate, so macOS blocks the first launch. Open the DMG, drag Muro to your Applications folder, then open System Settings, go to Privacy and Security, scroll to the message about Muro, and click Open Anyway.
