This release focuses on making dictation and meeting transcription more reliable in real Mac desktop conditions.

What's new

1. Dictation audio handling is much safer. Muesli now pauses or mutes other audio during dictation when configured, restores playback afterward, and avoids breaking the microphone route when headphones such as AirPods are active.
2. Hotkey dictation is fixed. The dictation trigger no longer gets stuck in the preparing state or fails before the microphone starts.
3. Cleaner meeting transcription with LocalVQE. Muesli now bundles LocalVQE for on-device acoustic echo cancellation, improving meeting transcription quality when speaker audio can bleed into the mic.
4. Meeting capture is more resilient. Meeting detection, recording lifecycle, auto-stop behavior, diarization formatting, and diagnostics were strengthened.
5. Update checks are less confusing. The reliable update path is now the menu bar Check for Updates flow, with the in-app About screen showing update status without trying to duplicate the installer UI.
6. Sidebar navigation is easier to click. Sidebar rows now use the full highlighted row as the click target instead of only the text or icon.
7. Packaging was hardened. The bundled LocalVQE runtime is deeply signed, notarized, stapled, and verified inside the shipped DMG.

This release focuses on more reliable meeting capture, safer updates, and smoother setup.

What's new

• System audio from Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other call clients is now routed to the "Others" side of meeting transcripts instead of being mislabelled as you.
• Ollama is now available as a local meeting-summary backend, with improved timeout handling, title generation diagnostics, and Qwen 3.5 as the default Ollama model.
• Launch at Login is now wired through macOS login items, with better approval-state refresh in Settings.
• The onboarding flow is smoother for permission setup, meeting-only users, accessibility prompts, and model selection.
• Sparkle updates now show release notes and use the standard updater flow from the About screen, avoiding the previous busy-state loop.

Fixes and polish

• Computer Use alpha foundations are included, but the CUA hotkey is disabled by default so users do not accidentally trigger it before ChatGPT integration is configured.
• Paste handling is safer and avoids restoring stale clipboard contents over newer user clipboard changes.
• Custom dictionary phrase matching is more reliable.
• Meeting detection work has moved off the main thread to reduce UI stalls.
• CoreAudio recording cleanup is more robust across restart failures, teardown, and app deinitialization.

Easier first-run setup
