Hi, I’m presenting Radar Band Aid - we are patching holes in radar maps!
My name is Jan, I’m a digital strategist and there are 3 more engineers in my team.
Here’s the problem:
Terrain features like hills or valleys can cause blind zones on the radar map. Low flying Shahed drones can use these occlusions to “move under the radar”. However, interceptor drones need a more or less continuous target trajectory in order to shoot down the attackers.
Our mission is patching up the holes in radar maps in order to improve the interception rate.
To solve this we are developing a swarm of drones equipped with multiple cheap sensors. They can be deployed from a truck and autonomously distribute themselves into the blind regions. During an air raid they help tracking attackers and send their location to the radar station which guides the interceptor mission. Since it self-returns to the base our sensor swarm requires minimal man power.
We are highly motivated to continue this work until it can be used in the battlefield. Hence we are looking for seed funding to move on.
