**Updating from inside the app works again.** The repository was renamed, and the app checked the download link against the old name before installing anything. Every update was refused with "Unexpected download URL". The check now asks who published the file rather than what the repository is called, so a rename cannot break it again. If you were stuck, you can update from here as normal.
