v1.4.13-pre5 — Vulkan Frame Generation device fix
Pre-releaseThis test build fixes a Vulkan Frame Generation startup failure reported in Endfield: FG could stop working once the Bridge opened its private graphics session. It includes all changes from pre4.
Thanks to @Puntoe for the diagnosis and proposed fix in #27. The Bridge now supplies the device belonging to the game's command buffer when creating FG. It also clears obsolete Vulkan hooks when an NGX module unloads or its table entry is reused. Implementation: #38.
Validation:
- The Gym reproduces
0xBAD00005with pre4 when FG is first created after the mirror starts. This build succeeds, including with neural rendering active. Existing explicit-device calls also pass. - The exact CI addon completes 120 SR evaluations followed by FG creation/release with NR, and a separate MFG 4x run with 30 SR frames, 90 generated evaluations and three finite output captures.
- CPU routing/unload checks and D3D11 pixel/debug validation pass in CI. Vulkan retains three previously documented validation categories; no new categories appeared.
This is a prerelease. It does not establish a fix for the separate Endfield mirror slowdown, BG3 split-screen, general hook coexistence or HDR issues. Testing used FG 310.9; the new Endfield report used 310.5.2. No game or FPS benchmark was run for this release. v1.4.12 remains stable.
