Releases: NIPE-Solutions/flex-layout-migrator

v2.0.1

Choose a tag to compare

@Cylop Cylop released this 03 Oct 20:59
c033790

Fix a spacing regression discovered while migrating Kubernetes Dashboard.

Both native CSS and Tailwind now preserve standalone fxLayoutGap directives for review instead of replacing their child margins with an ineffective CSS gap. Conversion requires a same-element flex layout throughout the gap's active responsive range. Proven layout and alignment cases continue to convert.

Validation: 3,427 codemod tests, 84 website tests, 22 browser tests, and a fresh scan of 164 Kubernetes Dashboard templates. The two footer gaps are preserved; 327 directives convert, 13 require review, and 3 retain invalid-input diagnostics.

The development-only Tailwind CLI watcher was updated to remove its vulnerable braces dependency. Runtime dependencies and the Tailwind compiler version are unchanged.

Published as @nipe-solutions/flex-layout-codemod 2.0.1 with latest=2.0.1 and beta=2.0.0-beta.4. The downloaded registry tarball matches the verified staged artifact byte-for-byte; a clean installation reports CLI version 2.0.1.

v2.0.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Cylop Cylop released this 30 Sep 17:07
fa11645

The first stable v2 release of @nipe-solutions/flex-layout-codemod promotes the tested 2.0.0-beta.4 migration contract. npm latest now resolves to 2.0.0; the beta tag remains pinned to 2.0.0-beta.4.

npm install --save-dev --save-exact @nipe-solutions/flex-layout-codemod
npx flex-layout-codemod --version

Requires Node.js 22.12 or newer. Migrations plan by default; apply reviewed changes with --write. Supported static inputs can target Tailwind CSS v4 or native CSS. Dynamic, ambiguous, conflicting, and unsupported cases remain preserved with review diagnostics. See the compatibility reference and installation guide for the exact boundaries.

This release exits Changesets prerelease mode, publishes stable installation/documentation guidance, hardens the exact-version staged release lane, and keeps unresolved local CSS-import diagnostics portable without leaking the temporary project root. The changelog retains the v2 feature and beta history.

Published through the protected GitHub Actions staging workflow with npm provenance and maintainer two-factor approval. Public registry bytes match the retained and approved six-file artifact. A fresh registry installation passed CLI help/version, plan-only, Tailwind/native-CSS writes, report-privacy, and idempotence checks; npm verified registry signatures and attestations. Physical-device and manual assistive-technology sessions were not performed.

Tailwind migrations now plan against a declared target environment instead of assuming unprefixed defaults.

  • Resolve Tailwind v4 prefixes, breakpoints and importance from a stylesheet, declarative profile and CLI overrides, with provenance and assumptions in reports.
  • Preserve exact source media ranges; use named variants only when their semantics match. Verify generated patterns with Tailwind 4.3.3.
  • Detect legacy configuration and plugins without executing them. Preserve uncertain source and reject configuration drift before writes.
  • Add explicit source breakpoint definitions and shared CLI/browser generated-template validation.
  • Add playground target controls, configuration documentation and HTTP 404 handling.
  • Support Node 22.12 and newer, with hosted Node 22/24 tests and representative legacy Angular template fixtures.

The Analyze → Plan → Review → Write → Verify workflow remains intact. Review diagnostics and run application tests and responsive visual checks after migration. This beta does not evaluate arbitrary project CSS or execute Tailwind plugins/configuration.

Install the exact beta:

npm install --save-dev --save-exact @nipe-solutions/flex-layout-codemod@2.0.0-beta.4

Changes: #56 and #57. Resolves #20. Native CSS remains a first-class target. The beta distribution tag advances; latest remains unchanged.
