Valkyrie Studio v0.3.0-alpha.5
Valkyrie Studio 0.3.0 alpha 5
The Voice tab now walks through choosing a voice, directing its expression, and making a long video. Its expression strength slider runs from 0 to 5, Eleven v3 has a one-click selector, and a complete five-line performance script can be copied directly from the app.
Performance scripts can choose eleven_v3 once for the whole video and give each line an emotion and expression_intensity. Valkyrie sends a matching Eleven v3 audio tag, applies the facial expression when the measured voice line starts, and adds a fitting gesture unless the script supplies one. Optional head cues run during that same line. The runner still generates speech before capture, so narration generation does not introduce pauses into the recorded video. Live typed speech and the local tts API can use the same emotion cue when playback starts.
The six portable archives contain no model files or credentials. Windows unit tests, script validation, and opt-in diagnostics with the external local model passed. Eleven v3 network generation, extended video capture, and hands-on macOS/Linux GUI operation remain to be checked on those services and devices; audio tags guide voice delivery but do not guarantee an exact acting style.
Valkyrie Studio v0.3.0-alpha.4
Valkyrie Studio 0.3.0 alpha 4
Agent-controlled Vaelari now keeps moving between commands: gentle head and body sway, gaze motion, and blinking continue while the agent streams head tracking or the avatar speaks. The Inputs tab has a Motion energy slider and nod, shake, tilt, and lean preview buttons. The local agent API offers puppet (energy 0–2) and gesture commands so an AI director can adjust the same motion. Explicit tracking, audio-driven mouth movement, and direct model-parameter overrides retain priority.
Narrated performance scripts default to more expressive, line-varied head movement and motion energy 1.35. They accept motion_energy for the whole recording and an optional gesture on each line. The runner restores the previous live energy setting after a successful recording. The example script and user-facing guides show how to use these controls.
The six portable archives contain no model assets, API keys, official Cubism SDK, or FFmpeg executable. On Windows, 45 library tests and the performance-runner test passed, and the external local model diagnostic confirmed that agent motion reaches head, body, and eye parameters. Live visual review of this new motion and long narration capture are still outstanding; cross-platform CI checks builds and tests, not physical camera or GPU behavior on every platform.
Valkyrie Studio v0.3.0-alpha.3
Valkyrie Studio 0.3.0 alpha 3
This alpha brings A.R.I.A's MIT-licensed particle physics into the Rust studio. The new Physics tab exposes Bouncy, Natural, and Authored motion, overall controls, searchable per-group tuning, reset actions, and settings saved for each model. A matching VTube Studio sidecar supplies supported strength, wind, and group multipliers; tail-named groups start with gentler inertia to reduce persistent oscillation. The solver runs independently of Purism Core, which still deforms the model mesh.
The studio now offers 16:9 and 9:16 canvas buttons, a native model browser, recent models, and startup reopening of the last available model. Voice explains Speak and animate in the app. The window and package include a new chibi phone icon. The desktop UI follows system DPI and includes social preview controls from the preceding UI update.
The bundled app and physics code are MIT licensed. No model assets, API keys, official Cubism SDK, or FFmpeg executable are included. The authorized walkthrough video is footage from the earlier renderer; it is not a fidelity comparison for this alpha.
Windows tests and the local model tail-drive diagnostic pass. CI builds all six platform archives; hands-on GUI and capture validation on macOS and Linux remains outstanding.
Valkyrie Studio v0.3.0-alpha.2
Valkyrie Studio v0.3.0-alpha.2
The application and control engine are Rust with the MIT-licensed Purism Core C model runtime. Portable packages are available for Windows x64, macOS Apple Silicon and Intel, Ubuntu x64, Fedora x64, and Arch x64. valkyrie-studio loads a local model; valkyrie-agent connects an authenticated local agent; valkyrie-perform records scripted lines and head movement with short measured gaps.
Windows integration checks used a local 208-parameter, 17-atlas model and completed an 11.8-second two-chapter alpha WebM with audio. CI compilation and tests passed on all six targets. macOS and Linux GUI and device behavior remain unverified. Packages exclude model files, credentials, and FFmpeg.
Read the alpha status, validation, and licensing and model rights before a production session. The Vaelari walkthrough video shows the earlier renderer; see the alpha status for what the Rust release has verified.
Valkyrie Studio v0.2.0-alpha.1 — Purism source alpha
Valkyrie Studio now builds its native model bridge against the MIT-licensed Purism Core runtime, with an independent 60 Hz spring physics solver and a leaner OpenGL draw path. The app source is MIT-licensed. No official Cubism SDK/Core, model files, model textures, credentials, or compiled application binaries are included.
This is a source-only pre-release. Windows x64 was built and exercised with four local rigs. A short 1080×1920 transparent recording retained alpha and dropped no encoder-queue frames; a matched 300-frame renderer run improved by about 6% with pixel-identical output. Linux and macOS source build instructions are provided, but their native runtimes remain unverified. Physics may differ from the model author’s original setup, and offscreen compositing and extended blend modes are not yet supported.
