Codex Pet & Usage Companion v0.7.0 — Community Pet Library
What's new
- Added a unified pet library with All, Installed, and Favorites views.
- Added native import for Codex-compatible ZIP packages and folders.
- Added persistent local favorites, richer search, package details, and offline installed-pet browsing.
- Added creator, license, source, version, category, and tag metadata in the details view.
- Added Petdex update detection, trusted-source repair, safe uninstall, and clear package-origin states.
- Added a recoverable Needs repair state for managed pets with damaged or missing package files.
- Updated the English and Simplified Chinese interface, README, getting-started guides, and contribution guide.
Import safety
- ZIP imports are bounded by archive size, entry count, and expanded size.
- Path traversal, symlinks, duplicate entries, unsafe source URLs, invalid metadata, incompatible sprite grids, and package-ID conflicts are rejected.
- Package replacement is atomic; a failed import does not modify the existing pet.
- Local previews are restricted to
.codex/pets.
Privacy
- Favorites stay in local app storage.
- Package sidecars contain only origin, optional public attribution, source location, install time, and spritesheet checksum.
- No account credentials, access tokens, usage history, or browser data are stored in pet metadata or uploaded.
Verification
- 18 frontend tests passed.
- 7 Rust tests passed; 2 live-environment integration tests remain intentionally ignored.
- TypeScript check, production web build, Rust formatting/compilation, and Windows NSIS packaging passed.
- Chinese and English layouts were visually checked at 380×560 and 320×560 with no horizontal overflow or console warnings.
