- Added feature where it now deletes the song entry from the songs.dta file when delete one or multiple songs in PS3 mode
- Other minor fixes and improvements around PS3 mode
MOGG MAKER
- Fixed HUGE bug that I guess tells me nobody is using this tool - mogg files created with 8 or less channels would be created incorrectly due to encoding in logical order instead of the physical order that ogg expects - should be fixed now
STEMS ISOLATOR
- Fixed Downmix to Stereo feature that had been broken by change in MoggSplitter
DTA PARSER
- Fixed bug that would assign the songs/name/name/ path as the song's title with certain DTA files

PS3 CONVERTER

- Added (limited) support for reading .chart files from Clone Hero loose folders and Clone Hero .sng files and display lyrics like it does with MIDI files when present
- Added (limited) support for reading all difficulties from .chart files so Visualizer can now determine if it's Expert-Only or not like it does with MIDI files
FILE ANALYZER
- Added support for analyzing .rbmid_ps4 files
- Added support for analyzing .png_ps4 files
- Added fix for reading atypical x/1 ("Unknown") time signature events when analyzing certain MIDI files that started life as .chart files
QUICK PACK EDITOR
- Enabled ability to delete song folders when editing PS3/RPCS3 songs.dta files as requested by Carl Mylo
BATCH PROCESSOR
- Fixed bug where DTA files were not being read correctly for the source encoding and were then not edited when saved as UTF8 - breaking special characters - should work fine now
v5.6.1
BATCH PROCESSOR
- Another attempt to finally squish the bug around unique song IDs not working well enough across songs that have conflicting numeric IDs - should work now
PS3 CONVERTER
- Another attempt to finally squish the bug around unique song IDs not working well enough across songs that have conflicting numeric IDs - should work now
ROCK BAND TO KARAOKE CONVERTER
- Improved highlighting behavior when using MP4 mode so it should no longer "go over" to the next syllable
- Fixed bug where in CDG+MP3 mode even if you disabled stroke, it would leave it enabled but in the same color as the text, making the text look "chunky"
BATCH RENAMER
- Added option to bypass the Xbox file system character limit (i.e. for when storing/sorting on PC) but keeping the character type limitation (so no special characters, accents, etc) - as requested by EzloDQ
VOLUME NORMALIZER
- Merged PR by DragRedSim - this is a functionality addition which allows the Volume Normalizer to operate on multiple files by taking all files within a folder, analysing them, calculating the average volume offset, and then applying that offset to each file in turn. In this way, albums with a large dynamic range can be normalised into a user's library, but without losing the relative dynamic range across the album; quiet songs are still relatively quiet, and vice versa.
FILE ANALYZER
- Added feature to analyze drum charts for missing tom markers only without taking into account if it had/was missing pro drum animations - as requested by EzloDQ
SETLIST MANAGER
- Finally(?) fixed broken ability to delete songs from the Setlist that was not working due to the wrong index being used to identify the song behind the scenes
v5.6.0
ROCK BAND TO KARAOKE CONVERTER
- Almost complete rewrite of the CDG creation code - now is based on Python application CDGMaker (by Josiah Winslow) instead of the prior F# application CDGSharp.CLI - this new code base allows me to introduce three part harmonies when converting to CDG+MP3 format, customizable intro and outro images, and leaves the door open for future enhancements. It's not perfect, but it's a great improvement from the initial release of the tool
- Added option to render to MP4 1080P or 4K karaoke video - I prefer this option as it looks significantly better than the CDG+MP3 way - check out all the options - this doesn't rely on external programs beyond ffmpeg for rendering the video. It's all drawn/designed by me, which is a pain but it allows creative freedom so you have lots of options on how to customize your karaoke video - still needs polishing but I wanted to get this out there to get feedback
- MP4 karaoke video allows for a solid background color, a static image (background.png in /bin/images) or a looping video (background.mp4 in /bin/images) - one of each is provided but you can use your own by replacing the images or video with whatever you want to use
- Added ability to select custom background color (any color pretty much) - color choice persists from use to use until you change it
- Both CDG and MP4 processes allow for use of strokes and you can choose the color of the stroke
SETLIST MANAGER
- Added ability to import .playlist files from cPlayer
- Fixed broken ability to edit song details in the setlist
- Added ability to mark selected song(s) as "Special" - and can now also filter to only return songs marked as Special - I used it to mark and filter a 4000+ song setlist to 185 Spanish songs - but you can use this for anything you like
BATCH PROCESSOR
- Added option to sort songs by the language tag added with Magma: C3 Roks Edition or Magma: Rok On Edition
- Added check box option to force overwriting the existing song ID with a new numeric ID even if the existing ID was already numeric
- Merged PR from Aloquendiar that adds feature to further correct Default author IDs on songs with Magma-created numeric IDs that would still cause collision
UPGRADE BUNDLER
- Added Batch Bundle option - click on it and read the instructions - as requested by EzloDQ
- Several bug fixes to issues found while adding the Batch Bundle option - thanks to EzloDQ for the thorough testing
QUICK PACK EDITOR
- Modified behavior so now it will dePACK song files that don't come with .png_xbox or .milo_xbox files inside to allow it to work with older song files
- Fixed bug where when dePACKing a pack with songs that had CUSTOMSOURCE origins, the dePACKed songs would lose the custom origin
PACK CREATOR
- Fixed behavior bug where when changing the encoding it might eat the extra/final closing bracket which would then break the song and all songs that followed it in the pack due to the missing closing bracket
QUICK DTA EDITOR
- Added option to select Notepad++ or regular Notepad to open DTA files
WII CONVERTER
- Fixed bug where cores for guitar were being set as -1 when they are supposed to be 1
PS3 CONVERTER
- Merged PR from Aloquendiar that should finally fixs "default ID fix" during One-Click Batch PS3 Fixer (thanks) - This applies the default MAGMA ID alongside the alphanumeric fix when running files through the One-Click Batch PS3 Fixer in the PS3 Converter, also corrects the minor error of a missing line in the batch processor
- Fixed bug where if the song had a commented out original ID, it would end up with two numeric IDs on the same DTA file
BATCH RENAMER
- Added feature requested by EzloDQ to enable renaming to "InternalName (The Artist - Song)" format
CON EXPLORER
- Attempted hot fix for reported issue with WINE where files extract with an extra period after the extension - let me now if this fixes it
DTA PARSER
- Hotfix for the Modest Metric - Black Sheep (Brie Larson Vocal Version) song that was missing a closing bracket in the album title - going forward this shouldn't be a problem with other songs either
GENERAL
- All instances of using Encoding UTF-8 are now specifically set to UTF-8 without BOM (this should avoid some broken characters and crashes on Xbox - let me know if it makes things worse)
V5.5.1
SAVE FILE IMAGE EDITOR
- Rewrote entire code that EXTRACTS information and images from the save file and also the code that REWRITES the information and images back to the save file - should address the recent issues popping up with RPCS3 PS3 save files - I'm interested to hear from you if you still encounter failures or crashes when editing your save file
DTA PARSER
- Fixed error introduced in v5.5.0 that would show incorrect song durations throughout the entire program since I broke a function in the DTA Parser
v5.5.0
ROCK BAND TO KARAOKE CONVERTER (NEW FEATURE!)
- Converts Rock Band song files to .mp3 + .cdg files for use with most karaoke players - see Help information in the tool
SETLIST MANAGER
- Added field to keep track of when a song is added to your setlist - this will work best when making a new setlist going forward as it has no way of knowing retroactively when you added something - you can sort by date just like you can sort by all other fields
- Merged pull request by jcollums that added filtering option for songs with no vocals (before it was just only masculine and feminine, now there's a third option)
- Fixed broken importing of yarg.json and Clone Hero ch.json setlists - thanks to RazQ for pointing out the issue
- Fixed code that searches for lyrics to the selected song to get around bug in the API that would hang when it didn't recognize the song, freezing Nautilus
QUICK PACK EDITOR
- Fixed broken dePACKing feature that was apparently broken since v5.4.0??? Should work fine now
CLONE HERO CONVERTER
- Merged pull request by jcollums that fixed the "don't add hopo threshold" toggle as brought up by ataeaf
- Added placeholder video_start_time = line to the .ini file as requested by MrPrezident
SAVE FILE IMAGE EDITOR
- Fixed (?) long-standing issue with transparent art images when being applied in game to characters
- Added workaround for user ScientistsSay (and anyone else on the same boat) that has their images offset off by one byte - click on Options and select ScientistsSay Offset Fix and try loading your PS3 save then
QUICK DTA EDITOR
- Merged pull request by jcollums that fixed Quick DTA Editor not detecting when there were no changes to the DTA file
UPGRADE BUNDLER
- Fixed issue where bundling MIDI with MIDI would fail due to missing DTA file (which was not needed)
MAIN FORM
- Moved around a ton of buttons to re-organize in a way that (to me) makes more sense
- Removed button for Video Preparer as that feature is not being used by anyone in 2025 - if you still need it, it can be accessed via shortcut argument
- Fixed quirky behavior that would sometimes default to the black starry sky background image, which would make it seem as if all the (transparent) buttons disappeared
5.4.2
FRAMEWORK
- Downgraded from .NET Framework 4.8.1 to .NET Framework 4.8.0 for compatibility for Windows 7 users without having to manually modify the .exe.config file
SNG FILE PROCESSING (this affects any Tool that interacts with Clone Hero SNG files or YARG YARGSONG files)
- Removed BinaryEx as an external library and integrated the code directly into Nautilus to avoid a problem for Linux on WINE users - thanks to mdsitton for the library and to Oznogon for all the WINE troubleshooting help
VISUALIZER
- Modified code for loading the default Myriad Pro Bold font that apparently wasn't working well for older Windows versions - still not working well for WINE users please let me know if you find a solution
CON EXPLORER
- Rock Band Blitz is now an option thanks to contribution from InvoxiPlayGames
CON CREATOR
- Rock Band Blitz is now an option thanks to contribution from InvoxiPlayGames
SAVE SCORES VIEWER v2.4 (Thanks be to StackOverflow0x!)
- Fixed issue that was destroying all pro trainer progress if you interacted with it
MILOMOD v1.8f (Thanks be to StackOverflow0x!)
- Minor fix for stability
v5.4.1
SNG FILE PROCESSING (this affects any Tool that interacts with Clone Hero SNG files or YARG YARGSONG files)
- Integrated source code of SNG File Format library right into Nautilus so we can handle SNG files natively without needing to call the external application sngCLI - this also gives me more control of how to process SNG files, which in turns means that the conversion from YARGSONG to extracted folder now happens in one go without needing an intermediary SNG file on disk
- Eliminating sngCLI should also fix one more "Nautilus on Linux using WINE" issue - let me know!
VOLUME NORMALIZER (thanks be to Sean!)
- Fixed culture problems
- Added more logging to Verbose Output
- Fixed an issue with DTA writing
VISUALIZER
- Implemented video playback for Clone Hero style song formats (folder/sng files/yargsong files) - supports background.avi, video.mp4, video.webm, bg.mp4 and bg.webm - if your song has a video background it'll play instead of showing the album art - click on it to enlarge it - click on it to return it to smaller size - you can disable playback on the CH Options menu at the top
- Now reads video_start_time value in song.ini files that have it
- Improved reading of custom colors for Clone Hero charter name
- Now lets you click on the author name to search for their songs on RhythmVerse - only works for single authors, not multi author collaborations
SETLIST MANAGER
- Fixed deleting songs from the Setlist, where it wouldn't actually do anything after the v5.4.0 update
- Fixed editing songs from the Setlist, where it would crash after the v5.4.0 update
- Fixed songcache not importing correctly after the v5.4.0 update
QUICK PACK EDITOR
- Added (or added back??? who knows!) option to dePACK a pack songs.dta file into component DTA files (useful for PS3 peeps)
- Added check so if the programming code to hide the pack from Rock Band 3 (introduced in Pack Creator recently) is found, it is not kept as part of the dePACKed DTA files
CON EXPLORER
- Added work-around for users running Nautilus on Linux using WINE who found the copy buttons would not work for them - let me know if this is an improvement
PS3 CONVERTER
- Fixed bug where when using the Batch PS3 Fixer if the song already had a numeric ID, it wouldn't save the edits to the mogg file
MAIN FORM
- Minor change but should eliminate a crash for users running Nautilus on Linux using WINE
- Fixed long-standing bug that would sometimes open Nautilus only showing a tiny portion of the screen - thanks to jnack for finally figuring out what caused it!
