Profiles and Nodes
A profile is one imported subscription (or config file). The Profiles tab lists them all; the one marked Active is the one in use.
-
Add —
+ Add subscription(URL) or import from a file. - Activate — tap a profile card. If the VPN is on, ClashFest reloads the new profile's config live.
- Update — pull to refresh, tap the profile's refresh icon, or Update all at once. Updating re-downloads the config and keeps your node selections where possible.
- Rename / delete / export — open the profile's overflow (⋮) menu.
Each profile card can expand a Proxy groups view — the groups defined in your config (e.g. PROXY, an auto/url-test group, country groups). The card summary shows the currently selected Group · Server.
A node is a single server. Your config organises nodes into groups:
- Selector — you manually pick one node/subgroup.
- URL-Test / Fallback / Load-Balance — the group picks a node automatically (fastest / first-alive / balanced). These often show as an Auto entry.
- On Home, tap the Node row (or open a profile's Proxy groups).
- The picker shows the group tabs at the top and the nodes below.
- Tap Ping to health-check and see latency per node.
- Tap a node to select it. The check mark moves and Home updates.
Search and Config order / Current group sorting help when a subscription has hundreds of nodes.
The Mode toggle on Home decides how much traffic uses the proxy:
| Mode | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Rule | Traffic follows the config's routing rules — some domains/IPs go direct, some through the proxy. The normal, efficient choice. |
| Global | Everything goes through the selected proxy, ignoring rules. |
Some operators lock the app to Rule and hide the Global button (a policy setting). That's intentional on those subscriptions.
You can switch the active profile without disconnecting — ClashFest reloads the engine to the new profile's config, and the Home node updates to the new profile's selection.
