Actanara v1.6.0 unifies the public macOS and Linux install/update path on one immutable release commit.

Highlights:

  • One POSIX install.sh detects macOS or Linux and loads the matching adapter from the same pinned commit.
  • Stable unattended updates resolve only the latest immutable GitHub Release; explicit full-commit and offline/local-source workflows remain available.
  • Git source/cache handling rejects mutable refs, unsafe worktree layouts, replacement objects, credentialed/non-HTTPS URLs, and ambient execution overrides.
  • Linux update/repair hardening and platform-aware transaction handoff are integrated into the same main release line.

Validation:

  • 1,936 isolated macOS-suite tests passed, with 9 expected skips.
  • 1,670 Debian 13 ordinary-user Linux-suite tests passed, with 10 expected skips.
  • 26 Playwright Release Page tests passed.
  • Release artifacts were reproduced byte-for-byte across two independent builds and are covered by SHA256SUMS.
