Add recoverable file and folder deletion through “Move to Trash” in the file tree and ordinary file-tab menus, with confirmation and updates across open windows. Removing a root from a workspace remains a separate action that does not delete files.
Add file-level fullscreen, expand newly added folders by one level, and keep window closing independent across workspaces.
Add on-demand preparation of supported Matroska video (H.264/AAC-LC), including files with misleading extensions, with cancellable background work.
Centralize reader boundaries in one policy. Introduce editable text pages, streamed saves, complete hex pages, CSV navigation/full-cell viewing, SQLite navigation, streamed reports, and on-demand compressed text access.
Improve native image/TIFF previews, file-backed GIF decoding, remote-image downloading, and large XMind/geometry source fallback. Add continuation for workspace search and recent workspace history.
Support and installation
macOS only, with separate Apple Silicon (arm64) and Intel (x86_64) installers. Git features require Git. Existing public releases remain intact.
The reader-boundary migration is incomplete and paused; spreadsheet, ebook, diagram, geographical, Git/diff and artwork boundaries still require follow-up. This release does not promise unrestricted rendering of every supported format. Codec, format and system constraints still apply.
Drag Glim.app into Applications. Bundles are ad-hoc signed, without Developer ID signing or notarization; macOS may require approval under System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Existing updater-enabled installations can use signed, architecture-specific feeds. Glim 0.1.11 and earlier require manual installation.
Validation
Local formatting and Clippy checks cover the workspace, including test targets. Local release packaging verifies bundle signatures and installer checksums.
The release pipeline runs Apple Silicon workspace tests and native updater checks, builds installers for both Mac architectures, and verifies signed feeds and uploaded bytes.
Interactive UI, new media playback paths and Intel hardware interactions have not been smoke-tested. The partial reader migration needs further functional validation.
