Ryujinx-Nextendo 1.6.7

The biggest Nextendo update yet: signing in no longer touches your password, friends get favourites, and the whole sign-in flow is translated.

Fixes

  • Restores online connectivity for all games. A networking change could stop the NAT check from completing and produce a communication error (2618-0201) when starting online play. If you were on 1.6.6, this update fixes it — just update and play.

Sign in with Nextendo

Linking your account used to mean typing your e-mail and password straight into the emulator. Not anymore. Account now opens a secure page in your browser — you sign in on nextendo.network itself and authorise the emulator from there, exactly like "Sign in with Google" or Discord. The emulator only ever receives a short-lived, single-use code (OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code + PKCE); your password never reaches it.

The sign-in and authorisation pages are fully translated into 10 languages and follow your browser's language automatically (right-to-left included). A "Not you? Switch account" button lets you change accounts in one click.

Favourite friends ⭐

Every friend now has a star. Tap it to mark a favourite (it turns gold), and your favourites rise to the top of the list. Favourites live on your account, so they stay in sync with the Nextendo website — star someone in the emulator and the star is there on the site too, and vice-versa.

Friends & presence — thanks @KKiiya

  • New dialogues when you send a friend request (request sent / already friends), now translated.
  • The online player count refreshes far more often (every 5 s, and whenever you reload the game list) and sits neatly next to the Nextendo indicator.
  • The sign-in menu item moved into the Nextendo menu, and "Nextendo Network Account" is now simply Account.
  • Your profile picture now shows in the account panel.

Under the hood — thanks @Juanjo3222

  • A clear warning is now logged when the network environment variables aren't set, instead of silently falling back to loopback — much easier to diagnose a misconfigured setup.

Contributors

Huge thanks to @KKiiya and @Juanjo3222 for their contributions to this release. 🙏

Notes

  • Windows: extract the zip, open the publish folder and run Ryujinx.exe.
  • Linux: extract the tar.gz and run the Ryujinx binary inside publish/.
  • Your games, keys and settings are untouched — this only updates the emulator.
