  • Nightly-Kanal.
  • Verbundene Handschrift bleibt lesbar.

English

  • Nightly channel. Besides Stable and Beta, the update channel can be set to Nightly. Nightly is every commit on main that is not a Stable or Beta release. These builds can be unfinished. A newer Stable build is preferred automatically.
  • Appearance. Controls are flat, type is readable, colors follow the theme, and calendar, homework, overview, and GlyphenWerk fill the page.
  • Marker and straight line. The marker stays in its track through a turn. A line that straightens while you hold stays that way until the pen lifts, and the lift no longer leaves a dot.
  • Line recognition in the native program. Recognizing a line runs through fanotes-ocr instead of the previous ONNX worker.
  • Search jumps to the handwriting. A hit in the invisible transcription remembers the height on the page and scrolls there.
  • The second column writes too. In pen mode the focused column is its own editor, with its own history and its own save.
  • Sections fold the text as well. The first handwriting section folds the first heading, and the second folds the second.
  • Sync conflicts for Markdown. In the sync settings you compare the copies and keep the server copy, the local copy, or merge both. PDF and ink stay as separate copies.
  • Handwriting model when you want it. Under Sync you can take your personal GlyphenWerk samples along as an encrypted file.
  • A folder on this device only. From the folder menu or under Sync, large books stay local while the rest of the vault keeps syncing. Version history can come along as well.
  • Add-ons write ink, recognize, and reach the calendar and homework. New permissions: ink:write, recognition, calendar:read, calendar:write, homework:read, homework:write.
  • Study time. The quiet page statistics are shown locally per subject, as typing time, pen time, and weekday.
  • Homework in the calendar. A due date creates an appointment in the Homework calendar. A check mark marks it done.
  • Calendar file and reminder. The calendar imports and exports .ics and shows a notice when an appointment begins within the next 15 minutes.
  • macOS package. npm run dist:mac builds a DMG and a zip for Apple Silicon and Intel. The build runs on a Mac; the steps are in packaging/INSTALL_MAC.md.
  • French and clearer German lines. The text language includes French for spelling and a French post-correction. German ae/oe/ue/ss mix-ups are drawn toward a known word with an umlaut.
  • Next step. The math solver writes only the next transformation step in your own handwriting.
  • Lasso. A frame selects strokes and moves, copies, colors, or deletes them in one undo step.
  • Margin transcript. The invisible recognition sits in the margin. Tap a word to correct it; the ink stays.
  • Templates. School, university, personal, and work create templates; the palette inserts minutes, a proof, Cornell notes, vocabulary, a journal, or a meeting.
  • Backlinks. The outline shows which notes point at the open note with a wiki link.
  • PDF highlights. Selected PDF text is attached to the page and the quotation, survives zoom, and stays searchable.
  • Versions in the outline. History shows a text difference, whether handwriting is included, and restores a revision.
  • Flashcards. Study questions from the note are reviewed with Again, Hard, Good, and Easy. The schedule stays in the note.
  • Connected handwriting stays readable. A clear addition such as a + c no longer falls into text mode. A zero is no longer read as Ü, and infinity is no longer read as a. A trained word is no longer pushed aside by a cheap cut, a letter-sized apostrophe no longer beats an e, and a connected s no longer beats a c. GlyphenWerk receives only the text prefix that is already settled.
  • English. The file tree, command search, spelling, tabs, and update notices that include a version number appear in English when the interface is English.
  • Handwriting stays when you save. A failed read of the companion file is no longer treated as an empty file. Paper, links, backups, and ink are written in the same queue as the text. If writing the companion file fails, the note stays unsaved. “Bring old notes up to the current standard” keeps the handwriting that is already there.
  • Page statistics stay in the note. They are read from the companion file when the note opens. A read error is not written back as a new empty statistic. Renaming, moving, and switching vaults keep the current session or discard it with the note.
  • History, folder colors, subject books, and add-ons no longer replace the existing file with an empty copy when a read fails.
  • Clearing a calendar field does not delete the calendar. The last saved name remains, and that calendar’s appointments remain.
  • Worksheets follow the restored note. When the markers in the text change, the page loads those sheets. A sheet with unsaved changes stays put.
  • Search opens the note that owns the handwriting it found. It no longer attaches the drawing to whichever note is open. A drawing without a note can still be shown on the open note.
  • PDF history restores the text, not the JSON companion file. The handwriting from that revision is written back on the next save.
  • Sync reloads handwriting and statistics when another device has changed the companion file and the pen here has nothing unsaved.
