Inkscape: SIGPIPE / coredump when copying a shape

Describe the bug

Inkscape seems to crash when copying a shape (but not all shapes).

I am able to copy certain objects, but others - like a freshly drawn rectangle, cause a crash.

It also experiences similar crashes when performing other interactions (drag-and-drop).

Steps to reproduce

1. Open an empty document
2. Draw a rectangle
3. Right click > copy
4. Inkscape crashes

Expected behaviour

Inkscape should not crash

Have you tried resetting your Inkscape preferences as suggested in this issue?

Hi @HimbeersaftLP, that issue speaks of removing the icc settings in .local/share/icc, but I do not have this folder present (creating the folder does not fix the issue).

Removing or resetting the Inkscape settings also does not work.

My error also seems to differ from the one in the issue, I do not have the CMSSystem::load_profiles: /usr/share/color/icc/colord/x11-colors.icc is not an ICC file! in my logs.

Should I make an issue in the inkscape isue tracker?

@rien Sorry, you're right, I didn't see that part in the Inkscape issue.
I have crashes with the same log output as you and resetting the Inkscape settings didn't fix it either (I thought it worked at first, but it started crashing again soon after).
What actually managed to stop it from crashing was switching Inkscape from Wayland to X11 by launching it as GDK_BACKEND=x11 inkscape, but of course that is not really a fix of the underlying problem...
