The main change in defaults is parent pointers are now enabled. These are extended attributes on an inode pointing to the parent inode. This will allow XFS's online repair/health system to work. |

upstream says these features are only deemed stable with linux 6.18, so I'd say we should only merge this after #485549. A relevant release notes entry could look something like this:
