AtomChat turns Minecraft's vanilla chat box into a phone-app style chat panel: bubbles, real skin avatars, whispers, quotes, pokes and image messages, all vector-drawn with Skija in one rounded panel.
Current status: 0.3.0-Preview (preview build, Windows x64 only). Downloads live on the Releases page; the repository README carries the short version of everything below.
Pages
Getting-Started — install, open the panel, send your first message and image
Features — a tour of the panel: bubbles, images, banners, pokes, themes
Configuration — where the config lives and the options worth knowing
Building-from-source — repository layout, JDK requirements, build and test commands
Good to know
The mod is client-side. Installing it on a server as well enables server-side media hosting and custom avatar sync; without it, images fall back to a third-party host.
Image messages use the [[CICode]] protocol, so AtomChat interoperates with the E33Chat / ChatImage family.
The panel opens with your chat key (default T or /) or with Y (rebindable under Controls → AtomChat).
