Configuration

Where things live

  • Client config: .minecraft/config/atomchat/atomchat-client.json (per-instance). Every option applies immediately and is written on change; no restart needed.
  • Local media: .minecraft/config/atomchat/ holds avatars, wallpaper, stickers (emotes/) and the image disk cache (image-cache/ under the game dir's atomchat-data/).
  • Server config (when installed server-side): config/atomchat/ on the server, including server-emotes/ for packs handed to clients.

Options worth knowing

Option What it does
panelWidth / panelHeight Phone frame size in virtual pixels (width 400–600).
uiScale Overall UI scale (x0.75–x1.50).
contentScale Content-only zoom (x0.80–x1.50): the frame keeps its size while text and controls scale.
pageNavStyle SLIDE or ZOOM for every page transition, tab switch and panel open.
animationEnabled Master switch for decorative motion; off, transitions snap.
messageEntryAnimation The QQ-style sideways fade-in of messages entering the viewport.
blurEnabled Background blur behind the panel (falls back to a solid tint when unavailable).
panelOutline / panelOutlineColor The ring around the panel, drawn verbatim in the picked colour.
accentColor, panel/bubble/text/card colours The full palette, with live previews in Settings → Appearance.
hostingEnabled Server-side media hosting and avatar sync master switch.
maxFileKb / retentionDays Upload size cap and hosted-media retention (0 = forever).
emoteMax Optional cap on local stickers (unlimited by default).
teleportCommandMode auto / tp / tpa for the avatar menu's teleport action.
debug Debug logging; also gates the /atomchat test commands.

New fields are written back to the file on load, so hand-edited configs pick up defaults for anything missing.

Themes

Nine presets ship in the box (including the translucent Dusk and Mint). A preset fills the palette tokens; anything it sets can still be overridden individually.
